im thinking about reading it bc it seem interesting, any feedback?

personally i really liked american psycho! if you enjoyed the film i would definitely recommend the novel as well.

on one hand, it's an absolutely disturbing book (lol) and it took me weeks to finish because i often had to put it down and come back to it- but that being said, i think it's a perfectly executed piece of satire. when you read it from that perspective, it's excellent.

i would agree with sophie's comments on how it's mundane, but i do think that the dryness of the novel is a huge part of it's meaning. i would definitely give it a try, but yeah, it's not for everyone lmao

(if you do wind up reading it, though, you should definitely come back and tell us what you thought of it! it's obviously a pretty controversial story and i always love to hear people's thoughts on it)
