I stopped watching TV in the summer of 1980 when I bought my first VCR. Since then I create my own program which beats the boring TV channels. I mostly watch film noir and classic TV series from the 1950's and 1960's at a time when only boring shows like "Jeopardy" etc are on US TV.

When my husband watches the Patriots or Red Sox, I rather read a book. I can focus on a book no matter what's on TV.
