David | 3885 comments Do we have any Lucy Ives fans in the group?

Marc (monkeelino) | 509 comments Potentially… I got Loudermilk out of the library but had to return it before I could get to it. Life is Everywhere is also on my TBR. Is there one of her books you would recommend starting with, David?

David | 3885 comments I read ninties years ago, probably soon after it came out, and promptly forgot about Lucy Ives altogether. A book friend gave me Life is Everywhere for the holidays this year and now I'm intrigued, particularly given the overwhelmingly negative reviews of her books on GR. In contrast, the professional reviews of her work have been overwhelmingly positive. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Marc (monkeelino) | 509 comments Interesting! The descriptions of both her work and her as a writer make me think I would like her.
