Important Dates:

12/30 - Will notify teams of who goes first! You will continue in order after that.
12/31 - Check-in deadline for team members. Captains, if you have members that haven't been checked in by then, please message them directly and let me know!
1/1 - Start Date! For simplicity, the first roll can happen after 7am CST (1pm in the UK), please adjust to your time zone for the first roll.
2/28 - End Date! 6pm CST (12am in the UK)

Q&A is helpful. Some things are explained more fully. I didn't understand the banking of books at first.

I just read through the Q&A. I think I have now understood more, whether it is really so, will then quickly turn out when playing..... 😂

We're last to roll of our four-team group so it will be a while for us. But everything we read starting with finish date of 1/1 can be banked. So we should be in good shape by the time we roll.

Books can be started anytime but not finished until Jan. 1.

Just need Amanda to check in now. I'll message her later if she still hasn't checked in.

Anybody heard from Amanda?

I have just messaged her again, think she got some family issues at moment .
Will let you know when she gets in touch

Since you all tend to work closely together, I'll give Amanda some extra time to check in, as long as you are all ok with it! Just let me know if I need to add a player next week! :)

Your biggest task the Game Board. This includes “rolling the dice” for your team and spinning the wheel for Chance & Community Chest cards, as well as moving your token to the space (this is the colored circle on the game board, click it and you can then drag it where it needs to go). Additionally, you will need to “deposit” the banked books from your Team Tracking Sheet to the Game Board when your team passes GO.

Other that than, please just make sure that any book justifications feel correct and keep your team on track.

Can we use a banked book for the task , ?

Yes, we have to finish the book for our task before the next team can roll. So using a banked book is good if possible. I see where some teams are trying to go ahead and read for tasks and bank them so they might have a book ready when they roll. I'm not sure that's really worthwhile but whatever you guys think.

I saw some teams were adding a column to their SS so can say what a book works for ..is it worth it

We're in the Park Place group playing against Wheelbarrow, Race Car, and Scottie Dog. Wheelbarrow rolled this morning and completed their task so Race Car is next.

It's our turn and I rolled a 2 - Community Chest. Spinning the wheel, I got IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY! Collect $10 from each TEAM!

I guess we don't read anything but I'm going to ask to be sure. Have to figure out how to get the money also.

I have just requested access for the game board, and tomorrow I will add a column to our banked books sheet to indicate what tasks our book fulfills. I think we can use it or not, if it gets too cumbersome. But there are some BIG readers on our team, and I know I'll forget what works if I'm banking books without some kind of note.

Yes, it did come quickly.

We didn't need a book for this round.

So when we useb10 books from bank, do we get more money if we use larger books ?
And what about books for task as we dont get money for them, is it best to use shorter ones?

That's exactly my thinking, Janine. When we pass Go we deposit 10 books and get the money for those. So we should use the larger page count books for deposit. And use shorter books for the tasks.

Make sure you don't deposit your Banked Books until you pass GO!

You're fine. You are welcome to add the books in before you pass, just don't deposit them.. :)

Kirsten has added columns to our tracking spreadsheet for game board space and task. When you add your books, please also indicate where the book could be used.

We are still waiting on Team Wheelbarrow to roll.

So ive just come to write.where my books work and for some reason in the section in banked books 'game board task ', my letter do not go from left.to right but from top to bottom 😳😳..help
Ive left them in line 5 so you can see what i mean
