I was struggling with this one, but one of the books I brought with me on holiday is a place! Anoka by Shane Hawk. It’s also good for the short story collection 😁 but I’ll pick up something else for that.
I’m thinking The Girl in time Square by Paullina Simons for this one. (it doesn't have to be horror does it?)
I just put MAPLECROFT by Cherie Priest on my TBR. It is the name of the home Lizzie Borden and get sister moved into after the murders. (Also, I live not too far from it)
I read Desperation. Not the best Stephen King novel, but I like the idea of the two books written from the perspectives of King / Bachman, so looking forward to reading its partner.
I recently finished Goblin by Josh Malerman and loved it. It had some 70s Stephen King and some Ray Bradbury vibes at times, which is wonderful in my book.
I read The Beast of Boggy Creek The True Story of the Fouke Monster by Lyle Blackburn which is actually nonfiction and I gave it 4 stars.Despite some confusion on the timeline, the author did a good job pulling together everything known about this American cryptid, making it a thorough and entertaining account of the Fouke Monster.
