Genre Readers looking to expand discussion

For this challenge you will be reading as many books as you can that are set during different decades. They do not have to have been published during those time, just the story has to occur during a different decade.

It will be interesting to see if we learn anything new that happened during those times, and I think it will be interesting to see how writers' characters may differ from decade to decade.

I like this one. Can't wait to see if this will be as varied as I think it will.

1880s Tales Worth Retelling: 23 Classic Stories from Around the World contains many short stories from different time periods, so I went with one written by Mark Twain, "The Stolen White Elephant"
1900sStolen Beauty covers two timelines but a great deal of it takes place during the turn of the century.
1910s The Complete Short Stories: Volume 1 - many of the short stories in this book were originally published in the 1910s, so I'm using it here.
1920s The Christie Affair
1930s Gandhi: Fighter without a Sword follows his life over several decades, but he reached notoriety for his work in the 1930s, so that's where I'm sticking it.
1940s Time After Time (half in the 30's, half in the 40's)
1950s - The Historian - This book bounces back and forth but the majority is Paul's recollections from the 50's.
1960s Murder on the Highway: The Viola Liuzzo Story, Sister Stardust
1970s She's Come Undone This book goes through several decades but a lot of it is centered around the 1970s.
1990s Romance of a Lifetime, Aunt Dimity's Death, I Was Their American Dream: A Graphic Memoir
2000s - Aunt Dimity Goes West. This book has an undefined year in the setting but it is contemporary and was published in 2007, so I'm going with that. Huda F Are You?
2010s Lilac Lane
2020s The Woman in the Library - Many references to the start of the COVID pandemic in the U.S. and Australian brush fires. Book Lovers, The One That Got Away
