Description:On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is...different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, "normal" is a bit of a stretch for Dina.
And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night...Feeling responsible for her neighbors, Dina decides to get involved. Before long, she has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive, ex-military, new neighbor, Sean Evans—an alpha-strain werewolf—and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she’s facing is unlike anything she’s ever encountered before. It’s smart, vicious, and lethal, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything.

Starting

I loved the scene with the Mom & Dad and the kids!!! I love Dina and Sean!

The magic is neat. I wasn’t expecting (view spoiler)[aliens!! (hide spoiler)]. I would totally live in that Inn.

I would love living there, too. It is a very interesting premise.

Caldenia ka ret Magren is so funny. Love her! The scene in the grocery store is hilarious. Ilona Andrews is one of my favorite authors. They have a way of writing interesting characters and a story that draws the reader in. I really like the banter which is something that is in all their books. Finished and loved it!

I liked it and would continue the series. The vampire guy is pretty creepy. I hope he doesn't become a love interest, lol.

I'm glad you liked it. I would love to continue the series. He is creepy.

You guys keep going. I haven't got very far because I've been driving most of this weekend and no down time.

Did you get the dramatized version? That's all I could find, and it was odd, lol. I found the extra noises and things distracting at times.

The graphic audio, yes. We shall see how it goes. Lol

Audible has an audiobook.

I got the audio from Scribd. It was done kind of like a movie or a play with all the sounds, water running, dog barking, etc., added in. The audio was good, just strange to have all the sounds.

The graphic audio is something else..lol I do know if I'm the southern USA or Ireland.

Sometimes all the sounds are cool like for Star Wars audiobooks but sometimes it is distracting.

I can't remember the names but I'm looking this book. It reminds me of the Kate books.

Yes, it has the same banter which I love.

Yes it does. I'm going at a good place with this one. It's very light a read. The paranormal lore he is so different..I love that the inn is a sanctuary. Reminds me of darkhunters.
