Bree and Matt are now in a relationship, though in its infancy. Are they right to keep it secret or under wraps for the moment considering she’s hired him as a consultant? Why or why not?

I can understand Bree's reluctance to have their relationship out in the open, considering her position both as a woman and as the new sheriff.

That said, he is a consultant and not an employee, so I don't think there is any conflict of interest.

Their relationship is very new. I think they're right to keep it quiet for a while until they see where the relationship is going.

I think she should be open about it now. She’s in an elected position and has two years before she needs to run for office again. Better to deal with it now and have it be put aside than to have it be a campaign issue later.

I understand Bree. She is new to the position, and isn't ready for the gossip until she is accepted more by the people in the area. Also, a new relationship is iffy. Why start people talking when the relationship may fall apart.
