rieli When I read the book ich just scanned over the added disscusion points, as I usually do since my friends don't really read lol, but this question caught my I.
Who would you save?

I wrapped my head around this, and there is truly no right answer, only opinions and explainations.
I'll go first: I'd save Chris. Not because I think he deserves to live, but he does deserve to feel the pain he caused, see the families he destroyed, and realize the suffering of the traumatized children, who have to deal with having seen their friends die. He should be alive in prison, to become remorseful for what he's done. Offing himself was the easy way out, the one without consequences for himself.

Please let me know what you think and why, I'd love to read your perspectives (:

Jordan Cole I agree totally with you. Its hard to pick and no right answer, you can not pick a a certain person because they each in my opinion are attached to (while reading).

But I totally agree with you on the "no right person part" and I get why you picked Chris but if I got top pick I would probably save MAtt. His death made me cry so much and the impact it had on Claire hurt me because I related to that. The way the author played his character out too made it so sad. So that why I would save him.
I would like to hear your opinions in that.

I agree with the whole statement here. In this situaton, you can't pick only one person to attempt to save. As you said, I would try to save Matt because he really didn't deserve that neither did Claire. If Matt wasn't in the story, I would choose to save Tyler. Not for the reason you may think, but him killing himself is just the easy way out. I think he deserves to spend his whole life in prison where he will learn not to mess around. Not even juvie, adult prison. He will really learn his lesson there because inmates don't like child killers much.
