Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I'm a firm believer that if I don't like a trope, it's just because I haven't found the right book. Now I'm starting to doubt myself. The last two enemies-to-lovers books I've read haven't been able to capture me. The authors made the enemies part and sparring so bad (or, quite frankly, stupid) that I just don't believe they can move past that to love.

My favorite trope is best friends older brother or older brother's best friend. I can always get on board with that trope.

I'd love to hear your trope preferences. And a good recommendation to go along with it if you have one!

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments I do looove a good enemies-to-lovers story. It's the best for me when the enemies portion is truly the enemy... and then the change from hate to love is slow burning. But, I also don't mind the enemies-to-lovers when they aren't really enemies, and one of them already has feelings. Good authors make magic with this trope.

I also love a good second-chance romance.

I like all tropes really, provided the angst level is believable.

Oh, second chance romance is a favorite of mine, too!

Now I am thinking about Beach Read and how that is enemies to lovers. And one of my all time favorites!

Me too! And I loved Book Lovers by Emily Henry, and loved it too. It's another wonderful Enemies to Lovers story. They just really need to be done right.
