Sydney Baker (sydneybaker) Agreed. But this would certainly be a place to find a bookish person with similar interests.

Vincent V I actually kind of like this. I feel that the world needs deeper relationships(with people and not with phones/apps). So why not find one on Goodreads, but it's likely to be a failure. Honestly if you want real relationships the best hope would be to first embrace "reality" because real relationships only exist in "real world". Thus turning away from Goodreads could be the best step, but Goodreads is probably better than Tinder lol, but that being said Goodreads isn't a dating site.

Katlyn Bolingbroke (katlynbolingbroke) Married. I actually met my husband on Tinder. so it's not that bad to use dating apps. you just have to be careful, though , if you decide to use dating apps

I forgot real world is inductive not deductive. Congratulations for finding partner to share life with.

Veronica Jackson (reviewingwithv) I met my husband on twitter 10 years ago. I was never into the whole “online dating” thing either but anything is possible, as long as you’re both honest with each other!

Karin This is a good discussion that got buried. I met my husband before dating apps, but there were newspaper ads (at least that narrowed down geography). Only one of my kids has tried anything and it was FB because when she broke up with her boyfriend that popped up. It didn't go well for her. That said, she's now got her first long distance boyfriend that she met on FB but NOT through the app. It was after she made a comment in some group that they started chatting, then talking, etc. They've been visiting each other. That's been more real than the FB app was.

Rhonda 🌒🌕🌘 🐈‍⬛ (rhonddah) I’m single but I’m old enough to be your mother, most likely
