I don’t know how Buddy reading works cause I’ve never done it. Do we just like say how many pages we read today and talk abt it when we finish or does it work differently.

personally i like setting a number of chapters to reach each day and then reading them and talking about opinions on them and stuff but that's just me

Cool. So we get back here and by around tomorrow? Also we were discussing about fixing a timing but I don't think that's gonna work with the 10 hour difference. Let's put our thoughts on here whenever we're done

ya same so lets just write whenever were done
117/365 books and 1 out of 12 books published
I'm done till chapter 7. I kinda forgot what it was like to read a Sally Rooney book. it's so plain and monotonous. so far it's going well. Frances is kinda relatable too
I just finished till chapter 7. So far I’m enjoying this more than Normal People, although it has the same kinda vibes. I think that’s just cause Sally Rooney has a pretty distinct writing style. I was also tabbing everything that felt relatable and was so surprised by how many things I ended up tabbing😭
Also is it just me or does it sometimes feel like you’re reading a paragraph and Sally Rooney just writes in the most random out-of-place-feeling sentence??
like fr. even the kiss part was so straightforwardly written. there is no emotions involved. I however am not liking this as much as I liked normal people. I think it's because I liked the coming of age aspect of it
Ugh I left my book at a friends house and won’t get it till tomorrow so I’ll just update y’all tomorrow on my thoughts
@neoma oh that sucks. how far have you read?I'm on chapter 16 and I definitely like these characters more now. I weirdly ship nick and frances. also I found that one scene where bobbi makes things so awkward for nick so funny. she's truly knows how to embarrass her best friend
Really?? I found Bobbi so annoying and fake. I would personally never put my friend in that awkward situation. Idk I really don’t like Bobbi since the beginning
I get why you'd think that. But I'm a fan of awkward situations in books.Bobbi has got that natural charm about her that attracts people to her unlike Frances. I can relate to Frances in that sense.
That email Melissa sent Frances was just wow. Everything about Nick makes so much sense now. I can also say that I don’t hate Bobbi anymore or even Melissa. The whole situation is honestly f’d up but that’s just the charm of this book.
me too. I don't know what to think of the ending but I enjoyed the rest of the book. So I gave it a 4 stars
