1. Happy February Birthday!: Read a book published in February, or read a book with purple on the cover in honor of February's birthstone, the Amethyst.

2. Baby Names! Read a book that includes a character (doesn't need to be a MC) or is written by an author with one of the following popular baby names, or any variation or nickname of one of them (example using Robert: Robert, Rob, Bob, Roberta, Bobbie, Robertson, etc). Alternately, you may choose a book with a character, plot, scene or cover art that somehow represents the name's meaning (in parentheses). Some of the meanings are pretty obscure, so feel free to be creative! This month's names: Autumn (Fall Season), Eleanor (Light-Hearted; Shining Light), Gavin (White Hawk), Theo (Divine Gift).

3. Featured Author Challenge (FAC) author - Sloane Kennedy: Read one book written by Sloane Kennedy or any author with their first or last name. Link to Sloane Kennedy's backlist - https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

Fun Facts about Sloane-
* Sloane Kennedy was born in Germany but raised in the US
* She currently lives in Wisconsin but says the place where she feels most at home is Seattle
* She began writing MF romance but she found her true passion writing MM romance
* Sloane published her first book in 2015
* She lives with a menagerie of 7 cats, 4 dogs, and 3 horses

You may also read a book set in Germany, Wisconsin, or Seattle, or by an author who is from any of those locations. Or you may read any book published in 2015, is shelved as MM or LGBTQIA romance, or features a cat, dog, or horse.

4.Valentine’s Day: - February is the month of LOVE! Read any book that you consider to be a love story.

5. US/Black History Month: Read a book with a POC character, written by a POC author, or that has black on the cover.

6. US/National Bird Feeding Month: For those of us living in the north, birds count on us to help supplement their diet when snow is on the ground or it’s too cold for plants and insects to grow. Read a book with a bird on the cover or in the story, or by an author’s first or last name beginning with B, I, R, or D.

7. February 21 – Mardi Gras/Carnival: Mardi Gras refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Shrove Tuesday. Read a book that features a celebration, or has purple, gold, or green on the cover. Since many people eat decadent foods on ‘Fat Tuesday,’ you may also read a book where the characters eat pancakes, Paçzki (rich fried Polish donuts stuffed with fruit or cream), or any other decadent food.

8. February 12 – Super Bowl Sunday: Whether you’re a sports fan or not, the Super Bowl is a major event during February. Commercials are designed specifically to run that night, and the snack industry gets a big boost. Read a sports romance or one featuring a musician (Beyonce is the halftime headliner this year), a book that takes place in the US Southwest (the venue is Arizona), or one where the characters eat snacks during the course of the story. *The SW US includes Arizona, New Mexico, and adjacent portions of California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.

9. February 28 - Finnish Culture Day: Read a book set outside the US.

10. Reader's Choice: Read any book of your choice.

1. Happy February Birthday!: Read a book published in February, or read a book with purple on the cover in honor of February's birthstone, the Amethyst.
The Princess 2/14/22

Someone You Loved by Robin Constantine 2/18/23 -set in autumn

3. Featured Author Challenge (FAC) author - Sloane Kennedy:
Four Ever 2/16/23

4.Valentine’s Day: - February is the month of LOVE! Read any book that you consider to be a love story.
Will They or Won't They 2/4/23

5. US/Black History Month: Read a book with a POC character, written by a POC author, or that has black on the cover.
The Necklace 2/15/23

In the Weeds 2/15/23

Stupid Prizes: A Romantic Comedy 2/7/23

Dating Mr. Darcy 2

9. February 28 - Finnish Culture Day: Read a book set outside the US.
My Time in the Affair 2/2/23

10. Reader's Choice: Read any book of your choice.

The Valentine Inn2/13/23
