Immortals After Dark discussion

We've talked about favorite covers and characters. Have we done "favorite couple" yet?

I'll start the ball rolling with "Mariketa and Bowen." Their dynamic is great, and I love the way he treats her in later books when we get to see them again. They seem to complement each other well and be equal partners in the relationship. I need to re-read their story... Sebastian and Kaderin have to be close to the top of my list as well.

Eek. It's hard for me to choose. I guess all time fave is Cade and Holly. They were so much fun to read about, and Cade just adored Holly, and Holly adored him back.
I really love all the couples.

I am excited to read about Melanthe and Thronos. I bet they will have some blazing chemistry.

I wonder how long we'll have to wait for Melanthe and Thronos (thanks for his name! That was bugging me.). It'll probably be a while...

I'm thinking so. The anticipation....I wish I had more time. I'd reread all of the books.

wow! i like all the couples!!! all for different reasons. Its so difficult to choose!!! dont make me choose :(

So He and Holly are my new fav. Or at least, they share the numero uno spot with.... (drumroll please!) Mariketta and Bowen... and Kaderin and Sebastian.

It's hard to pick faves for me.. Cause I love most of the couples. But Cade and Holly do stand out for me.

I've read Bowen/Mariketta and Cades/Holly books twice so without a doubt are my favorites. Aside from Nix (who is my ideal) I'm extremely excited for Melanthe and Thronos story as well.

Melanthe and Thronos' story should be really awesome!

My favorite couple is definitely Conrad/Neomi, but I also love Bowen/Mariketa, Cade/Holly, Lucia/Garreth and even Murdoch/Danii. Heck, I love almost all of them! The one couple that I didn't care for was Rydstrom/Sabine.

It's really hard to pick a favorite couple for this series since I love all of them in their own way. My favorite couples, though, are Lachlain and Emma, Garreth and Lucia, Bowen and Mariketa, and Sebastian and Kaderin :) The person whose book I'm most looking forward to, though, is Lothaire. I love that bad boy ;P

oh, yes... I cannot wait to learn more about Lothaire.
Tell me, why is Cole writing a book on Carrow?
Isn't she Mariketta's bff? and like a blip on the Lore scale?! really now, she could have written about Regin. The day Regin's book comes out, I will go into hibernation, untill i finished it.

I would have preferred to have Regin's book next, too, but it's coming soon. It might be the book after Carrow's. From what I've read in the forums, KC had plans for Carrow for a while, and for a few other characters that have only had cameos in the other books so far.

Hands down Cade and Holly are my favorite with Sebastian and Kaderin a distant second.

I agree with Harper that I'm more excited about Regin's story. The sorority partying witches gets kind of old for me. No offense to anyone. I hope that Carrow isn't all wild and crazy and wanting to party the whole book, and can't be serious. Having said that, KC will find a way for me to end up loving her, I think. I really want to read Furie/Kristoff's book. I have a feeling it's going to be crazy.

Danielle, I can't wait for Kristoff and Furie's book. That is going to be one tempestuous relationship to be sure.

It's going to be explosive. I don't want this series to end, but I'm so ready for their book.

I don't want the series to end, but, at the same time, I do. I love the characters and the world she created and I enjoy the books, so I wouldn't mind if she continued for a while. But eventually I'd want everyone to have their HEA and I'd want to see how KC wrapped it up. I mean, a story is nothing without it's climax, right? Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I feel that same way about a series, too. I wouldn't want it to just continue on indefinitely.

I agree that it should end at some point, but I think there are a few stories to be told first. I'm not in a hurry to see it end, frankly. However, once she's done telling stories, I'm find with the series ending. I would want it to go out on a high.

Oh, no doubt. I agree there are still quite a few stories to be told in this series. I definitely don't want it to end anytime soon.

Mine is Sabine and Rydstrom. Rocky beginning but they're so good together.

Suzanne, if you like Lachlain and Emma and Bowen and Mariketa yet but you haven't read Pleasure of a Dark Prince yet, just wait until you get to that book. Mhmmm...Garreth is one very sexy Lykae!

Although the lykae have alway been my fav of the lore kind. I fell in love with a demon after reading 'Dark Desire After Dusk" My couple would be Cade and Holly.

I know what you mean about not wanting it to end, but not wanting it to drag on either. She still has several books to go, though. At least four or five, I think, and she might throw a couple of novellas in there, too.

Melanthe is Sabine's sister, but who is Thronos and who is Lothaire?
I think I have to start re-reading some of these books because I can't remember these characters. Does anyone know which book they are mention in?

Thronos is the enemy of Sabine and Melanthe who clearly has an attraction for Melanthe, even though she almost killed him. We learn about him in Kiss of a Demon King.

Lothaire has a pivotal role in Kiss of a Demon, but I'm not sure when he got introduced.

Lothaire first shows up in A Hunger Like No Other when he goes to the Valkyrie mansion and then he shows up in Kiss of a Demon King, "Untouchable" in Deep Kiss of Winter, and Pleasure of a Dark Prince.

Yep, Lothaire has been popping in and out of books since "A Hunger Like No Other." Looks like Leah listed all of the ones he's been mentioned in so far, though I think he has the most screen - or should it be page? - time in KoaDK. :)

Sebastian and Kaderin have been my favorite until I read Garreth and Lucia. I'm sorry, but Garreth was just hot!!
I'm not sure who mentioned it above 1st, but I've actually been waiting on Melanthe's and Throno's book...I was hoping they would get one, but it looks like the party girl is next and then all of the women who were "kidnapped" in the last book.

Yeah, I went through the list of the books in my head to try and get all the ones my man Lothaire shows up in, LOL. But, yeah he definitely gets more time in KoaDK because he's "helping/working with" that guy whose name I can't remember at the moment that took over Rydstrom's kingdom.

He was working with/for Omort the Deathless.

I can't wait for the Thronos and Melanthe book, there will be some serious tension in that I imagine!

I can't wait to see who Lothaire ends up with, has there been any hints that I have missed?

Do you reckon their will be a book for the twin Lykae? I can never remember their names though!

Garreth was hot, I can't believe I didn't mention him! Lol love the bit when he is stalking her around the world and she does some fairly drastic things to slow him down :)

Kresley Cole hasn't confirmed who Lothaire will end up with. The fans have asked if it will be Nix, but she neither confirmed nor denied it. On separate occasions, she's said that Lothaire's book would be out in 2011 and that Nix's book will be out the same year, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I believe she does have plans for the Lykae twins (Uilleam and Munro), but she hasn't said whether she'll be doing full-length novels for them or novellas. I'm hoping she gives both of them their own book. :)

I don't know why, but I can't imagine Lothaire with Nix, I know this may seem like sacrilige and I will probably to stoned unto death, but I can't imagine Nix with anyone! I am probably wrong though and if they do end up together I will happily eat my words!

Ha I knew one of them began with a U, i just couldn't remember! Yeah a full book each would be good, or even one book with both of them could be interesting.

For me, I can't imagine Nix with anyone but Lothaire. I don't think any other characters have been introduced that I think could handle her. LOL. But Kresley said she does take her hero for one heck of a ride. If it's someone we haven't met in any of the previous books, then I can't wait to see what KC comes up with.

She could do a duology for them. Maybe two novellas in the same book, or two books that go together because the storyline carries over. I guess doing both of their stories together in the same book would be okay, too, depending on how she did it.

I know what you mean, everyone else seems to ...young I guess she would just crush 'em I think! :) Although a demon might be cool, I don't know why but I loved the idea of erogenous horns lol i reckon Nix does as well!

As long as there is a book on them I don't mind!

I think she should do a book on a female Lykae, that would be quite good, maybe on the one that was trying to get it on with Lachlain in HLNO

Yeah, I wish she would do a book on Cassandra. KC said that she would be making "some future appearances" and "could possibly star in her own book," depending on how long the series keeps going. So at least it's a possibility! I felt bad for her in HLNO. I hope she gets around to writing something for her.
