Magnus Durg You realize that this is the sixth book with Holly Gibney in it right?

James Ott Jr In addition, it hits on previous storylines throughout the book. You may not like her character (debatable) but it is not the first in the series. I liked the book overall and I do like the series. (I hated what HBO/MAX did to her character in The Outsider)

If SK is using a ghostwriter, then I seriously doubt he cares if this is written to become another TV series. They tried it with Mr. Mercedes (Holly Gibney) and The Outsider (also Holly Gibney) and neither one worked out to be an ongoing TV series. They would have to rewrite the TV character, again, just to create the show.

Jean Lindholm I love Holly. I have followed her all the way since Mr Mercedes, and will read all SK writes about her. Too bad some people think he would be influenced by his management team. I believe he's rich enough to do what he wants!

Beth I generally like Holly (I think I'm a fan of awkward, quirky characters), but her constant smoking - or maybe just the constant references to it - really annoyed me in HOLLY.

I don't think King has ghostwriters; the cadence of his writing, even little phrases here and there, are way too familiar to me over the years. I do think he has become a bit more bloated in his story-telling at times.

I will say that way back when I first read MISERY, I thought it was very unlike his other books I'd read until then. The reason was because in the others, the horror ramped up slowly, but in MISERY, bam! it hit you just pages in. But an author changing up their style is not the same as getting a ghostwriter.

Natalie Missenden Girl???? - Holly Gibney is 55 in this novel!
