Laurant’s next door neighbors, Bessie Jean and Viola, first believe Nick is there to follow up on their letter to the Director about the poisoning of their dog, Daddy. After the discovery of the camera in Laurant’s home, did you consider the two might be related? Were you also surprised to learn that Daddy was a dog?

Yes, I thought the poisoning was connected to the camera, and yes, I was surprised to learn Daddy was a dog. Daddy and the sisters were a good Neighborhood Watch team.

Until they said Daddy was a dog, I thought they were talking about their father. I didn't understand why no one in law enforcement investigated. After we learned about the camera, I thought there was a connection.

I loved the sisters. They were good support characters that added a little levity to the story.

I loved these two sisters! Much needed dose of humor. I loved that Nick played along to them and that he was going to look into it even after he had to tell them the truth. I quickly picked up on the fact that daddy was their dog. And I also knew that the killer had poisoned him so he could come and go without Daddy raising the neighborhood.

Those two sisters were hilarious! It took me a minute to figure out they were talking about their dog and not their father. When they talked about the fact that Daddy barked a lot at strangers in the area, I figured he had been poisoned by whoever was after Laurant.

It didn't take me long to figure out that Daddy was their dog. These two were a hoot. I figured the killer had gotten rid of him due to his barking at everybody. Hard to sneak around Laurant's house if the dog next time is barking at you. The sister's were nosy too and would've checked to see what/who Daddy was barking at.

....same here... I quickly realized that Daddy was the dog! Some good comic relief.

I didn’t figure out Daddy was a dog until they said so! It was a mystery as to why no one was following up on his death😏

I thought Daddy’s death was directly connected to that camera or whatever was going on in Laurant’s house.
