Jeshika Paperdoll (jeshikapaperdoll) | 104 comments This is a post for any Korean literature being translated into English this year. Feel free to post about any I might've missed and I'll add them to the list!

Disclaimer: I'm based in the UK so these are probably UK release dates, I'll try to add in others if I find them. Release dates may change throughout the year.

She is the author of A Small Revolution and has written for American Public Media's Weekend America, Poets & Writers, and Catapult, among others. Jeshika Paperdoll (jeshikapaperdoll) | 104 comments Here's a link to one of the resource lists I've been using if anyone is interested:

https://londonkoreanlinks.net/books/l...

It lists a lot of non-fiction too, which I haven't added here but can do if it's helpful to people.

John Armstrong (john_a) | 10 comments Han Kang's Greek Lessons came out in the US on Apr 18 2023. I didn't know it existed until a saw it on the new books table of my local independent bookstore in MA. Interesting, very quiet, book.

Carol (carolfromnc) | 46 comments The Naked Tree, a graphic novel by Keum Suk Gendry-Kim, translated by Janet Hong.

The Naked Tree by Keum Suk Gendry-Kim

From Drawn & Quarterly's website:

Adapted from Park Wan-suh’s beloved novel, The Naked Tree paints a stark portrait of a single nation’s fabric slowly torn to shreds by political upheaval and armed conflict. Fleshing out the characters in fresh, imaginative ways, and incorporating the original author into the story, Gendry-Kim breathes new life into this Korean classic.

US release date is August 22. https://drawnandquarterly.com/books/t...
