Liv was overbearing and not so helpful in the long run. She meant well, but their co-dependence from their youth put her in the running for first in Thea's life, when Gavin should have been.Thea was also in a tough spot, since she and Liv had relied on each other to survive their childhood. Gavin should have known about this relationship and the couple ought to have worked to make their marriage central.
The sisters didn't trust relationships outside of their own. It wasn't a good foundation to build a sound marriage. Liv was filling Thea's head with doubt, and encouraging her to move on instead of work on her marriage.
I was so put off by Liv’s behavior. Thea’s issues with Gavin were hers and hers alone. There’s a way to support your sister without being utterly rude and obnoxious to her spouse, especially as he was her host. She wasn’t helping Thea, she was forwarding her own personal agenda.
