I really should play Fallen Order at some point but I'm just not a gamer :/
Tarria, I feel the same way!!! The story sounds so amazing and I already love Cal Kestis as a character, from what I know of him. But I do feel like this canon is really good at bridging entry points. So I think we'll still love it. Like...you don't have to watch Rebels to enjoy A New Dawn, but it's so much better when you have. So those who played Fallen Order will get extra enjoyment out of this book. Excited to hear from those gamers once this hits!
@Tarria, if you're not a gamer you can always watch someone else play the game and it'll be like watching a tv show (ha) on YouTube!Cal is a great addition to the Star Wars Universe and I am excited to see what happens next in their journey.
As a gamer, I'm very hyped about Battle Scars! And the book already has some of the vibes that the game had. I agree with Vincent, Cal is a great character that I think deserves some more recognition beyond from just us gamers.
I played Fallen Order but never finished it. Honestly we all know in all cases the book is always better. I'm sure there will be more depth here than the game.
I mean, it IS a video game. Of course a book is going to go more in-depth.

The ending to Fallen Order was epic. Worth watching a clip if you don’t want to go back to finish it. He’s a great addition to Star Wars, specifically in the post ROTS time frame.
Outside of the story being amazing it was fun getting to run around Kashyyyk and Dathomir. Also Cal Kestis was mentioned very briefly in Brotherhood.
