Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I just noticed that the description of author Agustín Laje has been modified and the description includes a serious misrepresentation of his ideas. He's not a "neonazi" as it says here. The description also says he "opposes acquired rights" which I think is a subjective opinion. Finally, they call him "a clown without equal" ("un payaso sin igual").

I have also noticed that most of his books have been blocked for reviewing and rating for no apparent reason.

Even though I disagree with this author on every level, I think this kind of practices are unacceptable.

You are right, now it's possible to comment again. However, most of the covers have been removed.

Ah, I see now. Strange to only do it to some editions, or maybe it was hoped they wouldn't be noticed as they were not primary.

I'm literally flagging all of that librarian's edits right now as vandalism, found several so far. Just look at their edit log ..."

it might be more efficient to write to staff (if it's always the same librarian) with some examples - saves time and a lot of clicks.

I flagged a couple different things and mentioned other violations in the descriptions.

I didn't remove the photo, also put the real covers again, and do the real biography. If you have some trouble with me, tell me in private, not in a discuss in public.
