I love Dave. I think he and Sophia would make a fantastic couple now that he's coming out of his shell, and she is realizing that Decker is never going to be able to be with her. I also have a feeling that Sophia's "love" for Decker is really more gratitude than any real intensity of emotion.
Dave is becoming more confident. He lead part of the mission to rescue the women. That was something he didn't believe was possible. He tried to tell Sophia how he felt about her, letting everyone in the car hear what he had to say. I'm to the point where I think he should shake Sophia and tell her to snap out of it. Decker is never going to be the guy for her. She needs to wake up.
Tracy helped Dave with his new look. I never got that either had any expectations of it being more than friendship and her helping him update his look.Sophia suffered terribly and she has used her feelings for Decker to hid. It was a safe place for her because Decker will never return her feelings. She is finally strong enough to realizing that.
Tracy helped Dave with his new look and they’ve gone out for meals from time to time. Remember, she thinks he’s hot.
I remember not being ready to give up on Sophia and Decker the first time I read the book. I like Dave but am still rooting for Sophia and Decker.

I've given up on Sophia and Decker. Too much baggage for a HEA. I'm now Team Dave.
Jonetta, I'm having a hard time giving up on Decker/Sophia too. The first time around, I really wanted them to get an HEA to make up for how their relationship began. Dave struck me as a wuss who didn't take care of himself for himself.
I don't want to give up on Decker/Sophia at all. Unfortunately, I feel like Brockman doesn't want these two together. It is frustrating that she enjoys creating couples that won't get together. Her push-pull scenarios are too long and frustrating. I am angry with Decker for giving up on Sophia and then easily jumping on Tracy. I don't like Tracy for him, but I'm trying to accept the inevitable.
I always felt that Tracy was so immature and selfish and not a good fit for Troubleshooters. But she has grown a lot and I'm seeing how Brockmann is trying to redeem her character.
Tracy does seem to be maturing and has become competent in her job. I’m still seeing her for Dave.
