Hey!!

***drum roll***

A new discussion topic is here! **Applauds**
Everyone say YAY! :D

With technology developing by a considerate amount within the past two decades are people reading more, less or just about the same?

Obviously eBooks were introduced and for me it's a rarity to spot someone with a paperback/hardback book whilst I'm on the bus, train or just out and about.

Are paperbacks dying out? What about hardbacks? Will ebooks replace all paper copies of books in the future?

What do you prefer? Do you prefer to read on your tablet, kindle etc. or are you still grasping on tightly to what's left of the paperback and hardback book industry?

Hmm...? Thoughts? :)

Angel | 2 comments I prefer paperback. I also have noticed that more teens and young adults particularly here on Goodreads prefer the paperback copy as well. I don't think the paperback will fully die out. There are people out there who still strongly prefer paperbacks.

Me and you both! Really? Well that's great to hear because with the boom in technology in the past few decades it would seem paperback are dying out amongst the younger generation.

There's nothing better than reading a physical paperback copy tucked up in bed! :D And maybe add the hot chocolate as well - then it's perfect!

...maybe Marshmallows as well? ;)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) I prefer ebooks, that way when I have to stop reading to do something else, I can stick mt kindle on text-to-speech and keep reading that way ☺

Wow! I never thought of that. What a brilliant idea!...i'm always dragging myself away from a book when I have to go do something important.

Thank you for that tip! :)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) I'm always doing it! When I'm cooking, cleaning, doing my hair and make-up, it's surprising how much you can get through having the kindle ontext-to-speech. I usually get through around 10% of a book on text-to-speech just whilst getting ready of a morning ☺

Quoleena Sbrocca (qjsbrocca) ...or audiobooks!

It depends on my mood and the book. I'd say my preference is pretty well-balanced, like a good diet.
