Eagle jumped onto his Twoleg fence, he then jumped down onto the ground below and he started searching for a mouse, making sure his collar bell didn't ring at all as he moved.
Ember wriggled through the underbrush noisily, not taking efforts to hide her position. She had already escaped from her mother, why did she have to keep hiding? She rolled out of a fairly thick bush and landed on her back with an 'umpf' and a giggle. She sat up and glared at the bush in mock defiance, "You stole my fur! You just wait!" She kept a serious face for as long as she could before she couldn't help but laugh again. Ember turned to look at her surroundings, today she had gone farther than ever before! In front of her was a large barrier, and with a sniff she guessed it was made of wood but they didn't look like trees. Curious, Ember padded along this barrier with wide and eager eyes.
Eagle was walking around when he mistook Ember for a mouse, he pounced on her, " Your not a mouse," Eagle rumbled.
"Eeep!" Ember squealed as the old cat pounced on her, "Please don't eat me!!" She wriggled under his paws. She peered up at his face with wide, bright eyes. "I don't look like a mouse!" She puffed out her chest confidently, attempting to hide her fear, "I'm a cat!" She fluffed out her bright red, black, and white fur and kept staring at Eagle.
" Oh I could've sworn you were a mouse, you since your small enough," Eagle said licking a paw and drawing it over his ear.
Ember bounced up and settled her fur all into place. "You think so?" She looked down at her tiny paws and then back up at the older cat who seemed giant in comparison. "Chocolate says I'll grow big soon, maybe I'll get as big as you!"
" Maybe small one, now what is your name?" Eagle purred in amusement, and then he glanced at Ember as he licked his chest fur.
"Ember!" The little kit squeaked out happily. She liked her name a lot. She flicked her tail happily and tried to sit still, "What's your name?"
" I am Eagle, the cat who sees starry cats in his dreams, some call me crazy but others worship me," Eagle rumbled and he bowed to the small kit.
Ember's eyes widened, "Starry cats?" She tilted her head. "Why do people think you're crazy over a dream?" She bounced up onto her paws and hopped closer to Eagle, intrigued by what she sensed could be a great story. She peered up at him with big, curious eyes.
" I am a cat of great age Ember, cats tend to forget what I have experienced in my past, these cats I see in my dream have stars in their paws, there is one cat called by the name Firestar who talks dearly about clans, what ever those are, he tells me stories from when they were once five clans, and then four, oh you dint want to hear a story about the clans," Eagle rumbled, his voice filled with old wiseness and longing.
"Firestar? That's a strange name." Ember murmured and blinked up at Eagle. She continued to listen to his words and grew more curious about these things called 'clans'. When Eagle mentioned that she wouldn't want to hear about it, Ember's fur bristled and she stood up. "Oh please, please tell me!"
" Get settled young one," Eagle purred.
Ember nodded and sat back down, tucking her fluffy tail around her paws. She perked her ears and turned attentively at Eagle. She squashed the feeling that her mother must be worried and looking for her, the story Eagle had seemed too important! Plus Ember was curious, and she didn't know if she'd meet the strange, old cat after they went their separate ways. "I'm ready!" She squeaked, hoping she looked like a model student.
Eagle purred and he looked at Ember, " Long ago in a place just a couple fox-lengths away from here, there used to be four clans, Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan, there used to be a fifth one but it was moved to a different area, now something happened that Firestar won't tell me about what happened, all I know is that the clans parted and are no more, they are gone, unknown to us Kittypets, Loners and rogues," Eagle rumbled wisely.
Shadow sat in a tree above them watching them curiously. He closed his eyes and listened to what Eagle would say about the clans.
Eagle narrowed his eyes and he looked around, " For a cat your pretty bad at hiding, I can smell you from down here," Eagle rumbled at the hidden cat.
Ember scooted closer to Eagle with each word, her eyes wide. She opened her mouth to ask a question when Eagle looked away from her and stopped telling his story. Was something wrong? She looked up around, but didn't see a cat, or smell one. Was Eagle seeing starry cats?
" Well Eagle I was not hiding."Shadow jumped down and purred to his neighbor. "Just enjoying your stories."He laughed out slightly and sat down next to Ember.
"Ah!" Ember squeaked, her fur fluffing out making her look like a giant ball of fluff. She licked her chest nervously, this other cat didn't look scary. "I wasn't scared I promise!" She vowed seriously, eyes still wide.
Eagle purred in amusement, " Ah Shadow its you," Eagle licked his chest fur.
((Can Eagle maybe be Shadow's grandfather or something?))
"Ah yes."Shadow purred loudly at Eagle."I hope One day we can find out what happened to the clans."Shadow said softly looking at his paws.
"Ah yes."Shadow purred loudly at Eagle."I hope One day we can find out what happened to the clans."Shadow said softly looking at his paws.
(( Sure, allow me to edit Eagle quickly! ))
Eagle looked at Shadow, " Perhaps young one, perhaps," Eagle meowed.

((Alright I forgot to add Shadow's picture so i will get that fixed))
Shadow licked his chest and looked up at the sky."I hope one day I will find the cats in the stars."He purred out loudy

Ember looked between the cats, but she still didn't understand. "But what -are- the clans exactly?" She squeaked out, a little embarrassed. She thought it certainly must be a silly question, but still she wished to know what these things called Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan were.
Eagle looked at Ember, " Oh forgive me young one, the clans are a bunch of cats who follow clan codes, " Eagle replied with a twitch of his whiskers.
"Codes?" Ember questioned, "Are those like rules?" She shuffled her paws nervously, "Chocolate is always trying to make me follow her rules!"
" Yes they are exactly like rules, and how is Choclate by the way?" Eagle asked remembering the she-cat.
Ember's eyes widened, "You know my mother? How!" She squeaked out curiously, before quietly adding, "She's okay. I think." Her whiskers twitched, remembering her mother's grief at the death of some of her kits. "I have a brother, his name is Spark! But he's lazy, not like me!"
" Oh I've seen her around when I'm hunting, you know those gray fuzzy creatures you've seen running up trees?" Eagle said referring to squirrels.
Ember nodded, "Can you teach me how to hunt?" Her tail twitched excitedly and she leaped onto her paws. "I want to be the best hunter in the whole forest!"
" Soon little one, soon," Eagle rumbled with a twitch of his whiskers.
"How soon?" Ember waited a couple seconds, "How about now?" She crouched down and wriggled her haunches and eyed Eagle's tail playfully.
Eagle twitched his tail in front of her nose, tickling it with his long furry tail, " Soon when your older and can sit down for more then a few heartbeats," Eagle replied as he kept twitching his tail.
With a giggle, Ember pounced at Eagle's tail. Narrowly missing it and rolling into the dirt a couple times. "Sitting still is no fun though!" She swatted at Eagle's tail from where she had crashed into the ground, laying on her back.
Eagle twitched his tail above her and he laid down and out his head on his paws.
"But to be an excellent hunter you must have patience and be able to keep still while stalking your pray."Shadow purred loudly watching the younger kit.
" Exactly, I have taug you well Shadow, show the young kit how it's done, and I'll give you pointers along the way," Eagle purred.
Ember saw this as her chance. She rolled over onto her paws and leaped onto Eagle's back. Yowling with triumph, "I have conquered the great giant prey! We shall feast for ages!" She giggled but quieted herself when Shadow spoke, turning slightly attentive. "Show me!"
Shadow slid easily into his hunting crouch. He kept still and opened his mouth to scent the air around him. He found his chance and pounced into the bushes easily pouncing on an alarmed squirrel. He brought his kill back to Eagle proudly.
Eagle purred in amusement at Ember, " You could've pounced a bit earlier Shadow." Eagle meowed with a twitch of his whiskers.
"Wow!" Ember squealed happily. "That was cool!" She hopped off of Eagle and approached Shadow. She gave the squirrel a few sniffs, "Are they always this big?"
Shadow nodded and dropped the squirrel at Eagle's feet. He looked off into the distance slightly.
" Here young one have the first bite," Eagle meowed to Ember.
"Are you sure that's okay?" Ember peered up at Eagle then back at Shadow. She'd never had squirrel before. She'd only recently started eating some of the prey her father brought back each night for Chocolate. She shuffled her paws nervously.
"Of course it is."Shadow nodded and purred at her slowly."That is something that the clan cats did right?"He looked at Eagle curiously
" Yes my young grand son," Eagle rumbled.
"Okay," Ember nodded and stepped closer to the squirrel. She took a bite, and her eyes widened. It was a little tougher than she thought, but she managed to get an appropriate sized piece for herself. She chewed it down and smiled, "That was delicious!"
" When your done with your share give it to Shadow," Eagle meowed.
