Warning - I was also going to use this but the hardcover is only 192 pages and the challenge says 200 page minimum!

Good catch. I missed that.

Thanks for the heads up. There is no mmp and the paperback is even shorter. I was so focused on tineye, I didn't spot the 200 minimum. I noticed that a lot of my Japanese books are on the short side.

"yes. approved for option 2 and it's over 200 pages.
Louise wrote: "Please verify Murder So Sweet (A Sweet Cove Mystery) for paranormal."approved for option 5.

"Yes those work."
Thanks!
Does this work for flowers? The print editions are all over 300 pages, but they have different covers (some are 65% green).I'm listening to an audible audiobook with this cover:
I know we need to use the first mmp edition for page numbers, but do we need to use it for Covers as well? Here is the mmp edition: The Garden of Evening Mists
I also have this book on audioThe Woman in the White Kimono
The first MMP:
would this work for flowers?

My understanding here, and from posts in the past, is that covers should be the actual item you read. The mmpb is used for page counts for audios, etc.
Moderators?
That makes sense too. I’ll check back to hear what the team decides. I’m set with a book for this task, but I’m sure it will happen again. I need to use audios and ebooks more than ever before. A related topic is books with mass market paperbacks written in other languages. As I understand it, I am supposed to use the first mmp even if it’s in another language. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Sometimes there is a significant difference in page length and it seemed illogical. However, I know it’s probably helpful to have one consistent rule, and there is a lot of variation across editions for other reasons too. [I really wish that publishers were required to provide information on font size, but that’s another issue.]

Kathy is correct - you only use the MMPB (or pb, hardback, etc) for page counts for audio and ebooks. Otherwise, you use the edition that you actually read.

MorningDoes this have enough flowers on it for option 2? I think I see two seperate sprigs of lilac, unless the individual blooms are enough.
Or failing that, if drawings of flowers are okay, how about
Thank you.

"both books work for option 2
Hi Barbara, could this book qualify for Option 2, flowers on the cover?I see small flowers intertwining at the corners of the cover.
You can see them better here https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.c....
Thanks in advance!

Yes that would work for option 2 as long as you read the audio version as the other covers do not have flowers.

The Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 and was adapted for the big screen in 1939 and television in 1956. The Wizard of Oz was my first encounter with paranormal beings and I've been hooked ever since. I love shifters, witches, dragons, fairies, elves and all things paranormal.
Choose one option and read a book that is at least 200 pages.
Required: State the option.
Option 1: The main character is Dorothy Gale. Read a book with an author or MC whose first name is Dorothy. If you choose character, the GR description must show main character's name is Dorothy.
Option 2: I loved the beauty of the poppy fields. In honor of spring, read a book with flowers on the cover, not just a single flower.
Acceptable
Required: Post the Cover
Option 3: The depiction of Emerald City was stunning. Read a book with a cover that is at least 50% green using Tineye. https://labs.tineye.com/color/
Complete directions for using Tineye can be found here: How Do I Use Tineye?
Required: Post the cover.
Option 4: Glinda, the Wicked Witch of the West and the Wizard were well-developed characters and the actors chosen to portray them were spot-on. Read a book with WITCH or WIZARD in the title, not the subtitle. Plurals and possessives are acceptable.
Option 5: Read a book with MPG paranormal.
