If I start a book in one format and finish the book in another format, which link should I use when I post my task?
My example is:
I started by listening to this book, Out of the Clear Blue Sky, but I finished the last third of the book by reading the paperback edition.

In this case, state just what you posted above and if page numbers are required, use the paperback you read

Thanks.
EmilyGraceR here, I am going to assume I know the answer to this already, but I am joining for the first time ever mid challenge, if I have been reading books during the month of March and they fit into the challenges, can I or can I not update them in the challenge for March-May as I have only just joined or is it just including books I have read from when I begun the challenge. I hope this question makes sense
Emily wrote: "EmilyGraceR here, I am going to assume I know the answer to this already, but I am joining for the first time ever mid challenge, if I have been reading books during the month of March and they fit..."In Rules of the Challenge it says:
4. All books read during the dates of the currently running challenge can be used for that challenge, even if starting the challenge late.
For example, should you join the challenge after any start date (January 1st, for instance), you can include all books read in the period of that current challenge (in this case, from December 1st) into that challenge, providing they fit a task.
So your March books should be good.
Also probably a stupid question but I have googled it and it does not make sense to me, what is a main page genre MPG and how do I know what my book falls under, as most of the books I read are from the library, and I have tried finding inside the book what genre it is but am coming up short 9/10 times. I have also googled the book I am reading followed by main page genre which usually turns up short also, am I missing something, how do i figure this out?
Welcome to the challenge, Emily!MPG (Main Page Genre) refers to the list of genres on every book page.
If you look on the page below the book synopsis, you will see the word "Genres" and a row of words. Those are the MPGs for that book. You can click on "more" to see a couple more. There is also a link to "show all" but the ones listed there are not included in the MPG. Only the ones of the actual book page work for the challenge.
Hope this helps!
OH silly me I was on my phone so it was not showing on the computer its smack bang right there! I am trying to figure out if Anne of Avonlea falls under classics or not as I think it is technically a childrens book, off to my next question adventure lol, bless your cotton socks
On phones you usually have to scroll right down to the bottom for the genres!Anne of Avonlea does have Children’s listed so you need to follow the instructions for children’s books found in the rules and look at ARBookfind for the classification
(Anne of Avonlea does meet the criteria with
IL: MY - BL: 7.7 - AR Pts: 15.0 so it will count iunless the task creator has specifically excluded children’s books)
