Hell Bent 4 1/2 stars

I will be honest, until part 2 of this book (which comes very late) I was on the line of 3-4 stars, However in true style, Bardugo finishes with a bang, bad-a-BOO! and left me fighting with the final half star. There were places in the book that I was way too anxious for her to move on, how much can you pack into one story without going overboard? I think the testament here is that, although I felt at times too overwhelmed, it all worked at the conclusion.

The book picks up where Ninth House finished, and moves at a slow speed, but each step contains more and more horror. From my Ninth House review : All of the things I would normally hate about a book. and once again the author kept me riveted and reading. For me, this author's writing is some of the best out there in the genre.

One final thing-The rabbit on the cover. why? ....oh my! Once brought into the story, 😮
