How do you mean? Copy the links in the post I made and paste elsewhere on GR or in another app? I can copy my post, as shown, and paste in Apple's Notes App and the links will transfer over; do you mean like that?

If I copy your post above to add something in a new post, all your links are gone, so the only link would be the one I added. There isn't any way to preserve those links, correct?

Nope. You can't copy/paste the links on GR from someone else.

I didn't know if Eve Dallas belongs here as really it is mystery but set "in the future" which wow, is almost upon us as it was started in 1995. It definitely has some futuristic elements. It should be in the top of most lists that it might fit. Also questioned Dragonriders of Pern though don't know why and Men of the North though also, seems to fit though not in the UF or UFR side of scifi. But they are scifi fantasy or SFR for certain.

I tried to add only those that felt UFfy to me as those are what I like the most. Of the 25 before my adds, I read 12 so have a lot to go look at. Of those 25 my favorites is Muderbot.

There are some SFR that I didn't add either as I didn't know... as it pushes the romance/erotic, like Cyborg Seduction of Laurann Dohner or Fallon Mates by Jory Strong (really like that Ellora's Cave pub)

Yes, but it isn't simple, although once understood pretty easy.

So you can get the links from one post but have to parse through the Page Source. You go to Menu-Tools-Browser Tools-Page Source and you get... a bunch of HTML down below all the heads, scripts, and metas, you get a bunch of div tags and you just have to page down and notice the black writing that starts the message, this one is in one line and that particular one starts

That post is all on one line in the HTML which is not like the message box HTML that we type in.

So just highlight it from the start "1." to the br tags underneath. The easier way to highlight than trying to run all the way to the right 24 entries. After you copy it where you want, delete the br tags or you get spaces.

<br/><br/>"

these are the br tags <br/> and they give a forced space.

The post looks like a jumbled mess (no line breaks) but comes out like my post above.

There is one caveat, to repost it in the message window here on GR, you have a 12,000 character limit and with it written in HTML format rather than the simplified message add book/author format, the message with my adds became too large to repost at 33 entries. I cleaned some un-needed HTML from the source so should work for at least a couple of book adds, if you use my post. The first post of Steph works without problem at all.

It was the first time I got an over character limit though friends have said they did many times.

I've recently got into Scifi that has a more UF feel so this list is great for me as there are a lot like that and others that I want to check out. BTW Between Jobs has all the audio in my Hoopla account. Also Murderbot is there at Hoopla and at my library's Overdrive/Libby. Love the narrator for Murderbot.

I love Murderbot!

Started reading Dune and Foundation after seeing the serie and film. They have a lot of books so I’m not far along but it’s a nice change to what I read normally.

I read Dune & sequels so long ago I've nearly forgotten it all. Probably 70's or maybe very early 80's.

Never got around to Foundation, but I do want to read it eventually :)

Murderbot is such a good series 😊 I've got at least one TBR.

We've watched the Dune movies and anxious for part 2 of the redux. And, we watch Foundation. Hubby's read Dune, but I didn't, nor Foundation.

I just finished Mihalik's prequel and bk1 . Moving onto #2.

Been thinking about re-reading Aguirre's Sirantha and Dred.

I've got those 2 of JM and quite a few others such as Rogue Queen #1 & #2 & Consortium Rebellion #1 & #3, but I've yet to read any of them.

I remember they were recc'd by Ilona & Gordon.

Libraries seem to stock it and I am so glad. I've ordered a couple but mainly get from the library.

My hubby loved Expanse so I ended watching a bunch. Good series though I seem to have a short attention span (maybe a season or two) with all TV series today. Got through the first season of GOT and although really good... Expanse seasons 1 & 2 and then here and there asking my hubby "OK, what happened?" I thought about reading the books just because I have better chance of finishing LOL.

I grabbed her first Consortium b/c of I&G, but never got to it. Then stumbled on Starlight and I’m glad I did. Enjoyed it and bought 2-3 today to keep going. Wanted more of first couple, but see each book new couple. Hopefully I’ll enjoy them as much as the first. All the side characters are interesting, so I should.

😆 I find it difficult to jump into a book if I’ve watched the show first, tends to be the other way around if at all. We really liked Expanse. Definite GoT fans, both of us, but show only for me. Hubby read some of the books.

I really liked the first two, , but just started the 3rd and didn't get far. I'll probably go back to as I read it and meant to read on. I also want to continue Sirantha Jax and Dred, which I read the first two and first, and now that the audio of #3 in out and in Hoopla I have no excuse.

I've not read her Consortium series yet, but have it TBR.

I loved Jax and Dred. Still need to do a re-read.

18 Jun 2024: I finished the draft of a book today that I've been working on since around December 2022. In 2023 there was cancer and other stuff, but it is finally done. I don't think I can say too much about it since the publisher hasn't announced it yet, so I'm going to leave it at that. But in short, yay!
