April Group Fiction Read - Nominations

I nominated it last time and I think it got a few votes so I will try again.
I nominate The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster
I nominate The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster
It came third last time so fingers crossed for this time!
I've only "read" one other book by Paul Auster, and became so annoyed with the deus ex machina factor of his turning up very late in the book as a character that I never finished it. He seems to have as many supporters as detractors, so it may be time to give him a fair chance. My library has 5 holds on 2 copies of the eBook, 3 on 5 of the paperback. I'll read it even if it is not selected here.

I third that! A great read
Sara wrote: "I nominate my own debut romance fiction Undying Affinity for this category. :)"Hi Sara, you cannot nominate your own book - please check our rules on the group homepage, we have a strict no self-promotion policy here.
Nominations are now closed for April! The six seconded nominations are as follows - look out for the poll to be announced soon:
The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster
Family Matters by Rohinton Mistry
Cloudstreet by Tim Winton
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
The Seeds of a Daisy by Alison Caiola
There are some chunksters in that list if I am not mistaken! We might need to make it a two month read...
The poll is now set up! Please vote for your choice, and if the winner is a very long book we will change it to April & May to give us all time to read it!

Nominations are now open for our April Fiction Group Read.
The 'rules' are:
- One nomination per person
- First six 'seconded' nominations will be put in a poll where members can vote on their choice.
- The book should be fiction but should not be a 'classic' novel, as we have a separate bi-monthly classics read.
- The book nominated should be available in paperback form.
- If you nominate a book, you cannot second one as well (and vice versa).
Please post your nominations on this thread, which will remain open until 16th March or until six seconded nominations are made. The poll will be set up and run for a week, and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on this thread :-)
