LA High School discussion

A lovely green park situated in the middle of the downtown area. Complete with plastic jungle gyms and two swing sets, as well as an outer ring of greenery, the park is more often frequented by adults than LAHS students. Those wishing to play a game of pick up soccer or tennis can find fields or courts here, and some of the trees provide good cover for anyone wishing to hide what they're doing (not that teens would ever do anything that they'd want to hide).

Joan had been sitting in the same park, on the same bench, for over a hour. In deep thought on what Olivia said and her invitation to stay with her. Joan was a bit embarrassed about how she blurted out that question, she didn't know much, actually barely anything at all, about mutants and what could happen to her if she was discovered. Living with Olivia would be nice, but she would be putting another person in harms way, just by being around them. Joan hung her head in defeat, she had no clue what to do.

Joan looked up, to see a teenage girl, around Joan's own age looking her. Joan forced a smile. 'Heh.....I guess it's pretty clear that im thinking' Joan laughed as she replied. Joan held out her hand to the girl. 'Im Joan Demona'

Joan was bit taken back that the girl had asked her if she was ok. The only other person who had bothered to talk to her other than Olivia. 'I...yeah. Just a lot of things going on right now' Joan said with a sad smile. Trying to change the subject she asked 'Do you happen to go to LA High School?'

This girl was open, nice, and funny, which made it much easier for Joan to keep control. But Joan still silently prayed that she wouldn't feel that oh so famalier icy feeling in her finger tips. 'Yeah, just started a few days ago, Freshman'

'Really? what happened?' Joan asked curious. Now feeling engaged and interested in where this conversation would lead, but Olivia's words still echoed in her mind.

Joan could defiantley guess what had happened, she could also make a good guess that this girl was like her. She could feel her stress and nerves going up and her hands began to get cold. Joan didn't know if she could change the subject or maybe just head Olivia's warning and run. But instead she breathed a deep breath before turning back to the girl. 'Hazards?' she asks curiously

'What do you.....' Joan gave up on the act. It was clear the girl knew. 'Electric manipulator?'she sighed. One more person that knows she is a freak.

Joan slightly listened to the girl as she checked her watch, her eyes widening at the time she stood up. 'Crap, crap, crap, ohhh crap' She said grabbing her bag and turning to Avalon 'My friend has cheer practice, she wanted me to be there, to watch, you welcome to come if you want' she said in a rush

Joan smiled at the Avalons comment about being a good friend. 'Of course not, come on we can still make it)
