**This isn’t an attack on colleen hoover or her writing style, i think she’s overhated and people like jumping on the band wagon of slandering her
The reason I disliked this book is not because of the writing style or some cringe moments that people always point out if they’re leaving a bad review of this book. My problem was actually the main plot.
The male love interest gave the female love interest a lot of warning that he was not interested in forming a relationship with her at all, and if she wished to sleep with him she couldn’t expect a future with him.
Well, that wasn’t enough for her and she had to pry and pry this traumatized man for a relationship.
The worst part is, she got her way in the end!
I just really personally don’t like the “i can change him/“fix” him trope, and if i knew that was the basis of this book, i would have probably skipped it.

i hated how it was written and i was mostly uninterested with the plot. i think it would’ve been more interesting if the book was about miles and rachel and their story.
This has nothing to do with Colleen Hoover and the whole drama with her btw. I just found the book and its plot just not well written and uninteresting.

I thought the main character was annoying and the love interest was also annoying everybody was annoying and I don’t like annoying people so.
i do you have to say the Jewish representation in this book was SPOT ON!!
I have never read a book this accurate to what it’s like to be Jewish.
It’s always just like they mention it once the one character celebrate Hanukah and that’s it. It’s actually annoying. This book really brought the reality of what it’s like to be Jewish for a lot of people out there.
I got called out so many times in this
and the Jewish jokes were actually funny.
I know I’m renting about the good parts of this book but damn I had to say it.
but still three stars, I didn’t agree without the main character thought, and acted towards others,
I just felt bad for the love interest even though I didn’t like him either.

It ends with us .... I really liked it but it was way too overhyped - everyone said it made them cry? HOW?!?!?!?!

I'd second this. I can't understand what people see in it.

I only read Verity and from page one I thought there was way too much gratuitous violence and gore and sex. I don't mind any of the above if they are a necessary part of the story...but this was just overkill.

Midnight Library was right up there on the worst book I ever read list.

the secret history? why do you think that? (not trying to be rude just wondering why)
