Honestly this book is one of my favorites of all time, it got me OUT of my reading slump. If you like the hockey romance I love the deal series which an interconnected series and it's super cute. They average at about 350 pages so Idk if that's too long? But the whole series is really nice and all of the characters grow on you, I got so attached.
This book is the one that actually got me into romance novels! The "slow burn" of the plot is definitely worth it and made my heart melt! I honestly can't say I have a favourite book of all time since they're all my favourite for different reasons.. Touch of Darkness series was honestly so bloody good, but the fourth book doesn't release until November so I've held back on buying the third and will binge read the whole series when it comes out. So I would definitely place that pretty high on my list since I could actually "escape" in to the world
I loved this book and it's still in my top 5. It got me out of a slump and I got so attached to the book. I didn't even realize but I was carrying the book everywhere I go and it was such a page-turner for me.
I loved Icebreaker! I'm a sports romance lover.
Friends with Boundaries by Brooke Kane
is a second-chance, friends to lovers, slightly-sportsy romance with slow burn, forced proximity, and a HEA (no cheating)! If you liked this book, you may want to try it on KU! https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

I absolutely adored Icebreaker! I legit read it all in one day and I think it's my top favorite for the year. I tried to start a different book after Icebreaker but I could not get into it because of how attached I got to the characters. I do have a love for hockey and ice skating so add spicy romance to that and I'm all in! I just compiled a huge list of hockey romances that I'm hoping to get to eventually and I just ordered Behind the Net by Stephanie Archer which I've heard/seen good reviews on. A couple of other books I really loved were Tell Me Lies by Carola Lovering (it's also a Hulu series), If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin, and Girl In Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. If He Had Been With Me & Girl In Pieces are tear jerkers...I cried during both.
i genuinely hated this book so much. but if you want some YA classics, anything by jenny han is a good start. I also really liked Alex Approximately, and that one is probably my favorite YA romance novel of all time.
hmmm..I read many books like this and some books that are similar are:
- Corrupt (its dark but its def worth it)
- Twisted Series
- King of Wrath
- Sweetest Oblivion
- Maddest Obsession
I hope you like some of them

From Lukov with Love! I am almost finished with it and it has been a RIDE. Definitely a longer slow burn than Icebreaker, and both characters are figure skaters instead of one figure skater and one hockey player. I liked Icebreaker but I like FLWL better for sure.
I loved Icebreaker. After this I moved on to Beyond the Play series by Grace Riley, its 3 interconnected standalones. 'Breakaway' Which is the second book in the series is an SPICY hockey romance. The series follows 3 brothers who each have a chosen sport, First down is a football romance and Stealing home is a baseball romance. I absolutely loved all 3 of these books.
I'll recommend some series i found great.
- The infernal devices (I'm in love with this one)
- Twisted series
- Dreamland billionaires
- The shatter me series
- The mortal instruments.
I hope it will help.

I loved Icebreaker too. Cool book. Although it was a good book, I did prefer Tania Gold's version of Keys to My Heart far better. The scenery in New York was my favourite and how Tania Gold incorporated World wide travel scenes. Brought back memories when my Husband and I travelled the world. I love it when books remind you of your memories.
If you haven't read Keys to My heart, It's a good book to read over the festive season.Keys To My HeartTania Gold
