Matching Kids to Books discussion

I have 4th grade students in my library asking for adventure books with "cliffhangers". I honestly am having trouble searching and finding some titles for them. Any suggestions??

Have you read Stone Fox? John Reynolds Gardiner

I used it with remedial readers in grades 6-8. Should work well with 4th graders.
What reading level is Stone Fox? This book is 96 pages and is a Guided Reading Level P (Lexile 610L). Appropriate for third through fifth graders, the book is considered to be high-interest for students in grades 2-5.

Also, Jerry Spinelli books are full of adventures. Maniac McGee was a favorite. 4.7 reading level.
