This is our monthly nom thread. I planned to limit in to Nebula's nominees from this year, but they aren't announced yet, so we wait

Should we go for two novels, or novel+novella?

Maybe next month, Kathryn, this one, as stated in the 1st message is for Nebula nominees (unless your's is one)

I'd say it depends on what the group hasn't read. Focus on novels probably.

We've read two of the novels (Babel and Nettle & Bone), and there was a group read for Legends & Lattes. Which leaves Spear, Nona the Ninth, and The Mountain in the Sea (two of which have featured heavily in our polls).

For novellas, we've read Prayer for the crown-shy and High Times, leaving "Bishop's Opening" (in Clarkesworld), I Never Liked You Anyway, and Even Though I Knew the End. We could go one novel and one novella?

I'm nominating Spear (for what I think is the third time). :)

I'd say each member can have up to two nominees not yet read by the group from the novel or novella category.

Or a simpler way - I just post 2 polls one with novels and another with novellas

I'd say go for the simpler method: no need to nominate, when there are so few options.
