I boycott "White Savior" books like this on principle, but I'll be curious to know what our group members think.

lol it really is the DEFINITION of a white savior book. i was so let down when i read it. after all the hype in the media and my coworkers (white ones) raving about it.

i was like "umm this is good not great. and i have read stories like this before. what's so special?"

i did enjoy the movie a lot more becasue i focused on viola davis more. i cannot even remember which red haired actress played in it. i remember Viola and Octavia. plus it won Viola the oscar and other recognition.
