Chaos With A Cup Of Coffee discussion

Rae, Cass, and Rob.

The wind slowly transformed into a murky, shady taxi cab with three old ladies sitting in the front. "Cool," Rae breathed. She knocked on the window. "How much for a trip to San Fransico?"

((eh, i'll just do a random number, i don't remember what they'd asked for in the books))

One of the sisters (Wasp?) stuck her head out, squawking, "Two hundred forty nine drachmas-" Tempest shoved Wasp, yelling, "And not one less!" Cass rolled her eyes. "'Kay, just let us in." The doors flew open, nearly hitting Robyn. He gestured toward the doors. "Ladies first?" he offered.

She grinned. "Why thank you." She got in after Cass, so she was sandwiched in the middle. She whispered to Rob, "I think I have around two hundred drachma in my backpack. What about-" But just then, the Gray Sisters started their car. They jerked the wheel to the right and with a yelp, Rae was thrown against Rob.

Robyn tensed, squished against the door of the car. A very uncomfortable position indeed. He wiggled his arm out from under Rae, brushing hair out of his eyes. Cass on the other hand was having the time of her life, clinging onto the other door of the car to keep from pushing against Rae.

"Sorry!" she yelled as the car swerved in the opposite direction and she was thrown against Cass. "I really should put on my seat BELTTTTT!" She screamed as the car did a loop-di-loop. She clutched onto her bag as the car did more maneuvers than a roller coaster.

Cass blinked down at the chains that were supposed to be the seat belts. "I don't know if I would want to use these," she commented when there was a slight pause in the messy driving, picking up a limp chain.

"It's better than being tossed around like a sack of potatoes for the next hour!" Rae yelled. She grabbed it, but before she could put it on, the car weaved through traffic and Rae clutched her throat. "I'm gonna be sick."

"Not on me please!" Cass cried, flattening herself against the side of the car.

"Okay, okay!" she yelled, crawling over Rob. "Sorry!" She put her head through the window and puked. She got her head back in the car and wiped her mouth. "I'm fine now."

Rob winced as Rae's elbow poked into his gut, slightly embarrassed at Rae having to climb over him. Cass sat up straight (as straight as she could in the wildly swerving car), and eyed Rae cautiously. "Sure you're okay?"

"Y-yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" She suddenly noticed she was still over Rob. "Oh sorry!" She quickly crawled back to her seat before the car could kill her by sending her out the window.

((i have returned! lmao i can just imagine Rob and Cass' reaction to that if she fell out. Rob would be like 'nooooooo' and Cass would just jump out after))

Robyn flushed nervously, slightly peeping out the window. Cass cast a knowing look toward Rae, and turned to face the other two. "Soooo. . ." she trailed off, trying to start a conversation.

Rae gripped the seat chain, too tired to think about anything. "How much longer?" She really, really, really, wanted out of this car.

Anger growled from the front, twisting around to face them, their one eye in her left socket. "Don't rush us!" she screeched. Tempest yelled, smacking Wasp. "Give me the eye!" Wasp bared their tooth and snarled, "I don't have it, you idiot!" The car swerved, the bumper scraping a few buildings.
Cass flattened her lips, raising her eyebrows. "I don't think we're getting an answer."

Rae groaned. "Great. This whole... ordeal is making me tired." She yawned. "Do ya think it's possible to get sleep in this car?" Making sure she hung onto the belt should've been her priority, but sleeping came first.

"Possibly?" Rob mumbled. He wrapped his arm around Rae to make sure she didn't fall out of her seat. He himself was pretty drowsy, he'd been up for most of the night, thinking about the quest.
From her side of the car, Cass grinned. Maybe this quest was what Rae and Robyn needed to get together, since it was obvious they liked each other. She tucked herself into a ball, holding the chain cautiously. Sleep was probably impossible in this dang car.

Rae definitely was blushing. She yawned, then decided not to think too much of his arms around her. She leaned into him, her head on his shoulder. The rocking of the car seemed slower when as she cuddled into his side until she fell asleep.

Robyn smiled softly, eyes slowly drifting shut. Cass grinned, tilting her head to watch the scenery.

A few hours later, Rae yawned and woke up. She blinked and realized that Rob's arm was still around her and she was still leaning against him. "Rob," she whispered. "Rob, wake up. I think we have to pay soon." She was blushing a little.

((hiiiiii! i think i'll be on for at least fifteen minutes, so we have time for some rping))

Rob shifted, mumbling something under his breath. "Go away," he grumbled. Cass chuckled, stretching out one cramped arm. "You guys look so cute when you're sleeping," she observed wistfully, wishing she'd been able to get in a catnap.

((Alright! I might have to go eat soon tho))
She blushed even more. "Shush," she hissed at Cass. She poked Rob after a moment. "Robyn! We have to pay soon, I think." She sighed and looked around for her backpack. She was relieved to see that it hadn't flown out the window with the drachmas. Then they would've been in trouble.

Cass rolled her eyes. "What? It's true!" Rob yawned, gazing at Rae for several moments before glancing out the window. "Hey!" Cass called out to the three sisters. "We nearly there?" Wasp, who still had the tooth, turned from the steering wheel. "Why should we tell you?!" she snapped. "EYE ON THE ROAD!" Anger hollered. Wasp hissed at Anger. "I DON'T HAVE THE STUPID EYE, YOU IDIOT!!" Tempest leaned over Wasp, and jerked the wheel to the right. "Wrong direction!" Cass thumped her head on the car door. Why had she even asked?

Rae shrieked as she almost flew straight between the two seats in the front. She grabbed the seat chain just in time, though. She took a deep breath. "We're almost there. We're almost there. We're almost-" The car jerked again and the rest of her sentence was lost in a yell. Hopefully they were almost there, because this was reaching her limit.

The car screeched to a halt in a few minutes, the Gray Sisters still hollering at each other. Finally, Anger yelled, "SHUT UP!" She then snatched the eye from Tempest, stuck it in her socket, glared at the other two, and turned to the trio in the back. "We're here! Pay up!"

Rae glared at them-only one of them could tell, anyways- and poured a pile of glittering gold drachmas into their awaiting hands. Then she kicked the door open and stepped out into the streets of San Fransico. She found the first trash can she could see and vomited into the can. Once she was done, she turned to Cass and Rob. "Let's go find Nereus."

Robyn and Cass stumbled out after Rae. Anger yelled after them, "Be grateful!" Then Wasp shouted, "Start driving!" The doors slammed shut, and the car skidded away. Cass glared after them. "Seriously, how did you guys manage to sleep with them arguing louder than howler monkeys?"

"Um... I don't know?" Rae said. It was probably because she was snuggling with Rob, but she was definitely NOT gonna bring that up. Awkward. She coughed. "Anyways. Where's the closest way to the ocean?"

Cass scanned the area. The Gray Sisters had dropped them off in a park (maybe). "Oh, this way!" she announced, striding off in one direction. Robyn shrugged, grabbed Rae's hand, and started after Cass.

She blushed. Why did him just grabbing her hand make her blush? She snuck a glance at Rob. She sighed. She needed to focus on the quest. And Nereus. And Harmonia.

Cass waited patiently for the other two to catch up, surveying the landscape around her. A roaring bark made her spin around, hand on a hidden dagger she had. A looming black dog stood a few yards away, glowing red eyes fixed on her. Hellhound! "Rae! Robyn!" she shouted. "There's a hellhound!"

Rae whirled around, her guns already drawn. "You guys run," she said in a calm voice. "Slowly back away. I'll hold it off." She loaded the guns with Celestial bronze slowly.

Cass drew her sword cautiously. "Nope!" Robyn flicked out his daggers, staying at Rae's side. "We're not leaving you," he scoffed, keeping a watchful eye on the massive hound.

"Fine," she scowled, then shot the hellhound in the leg. It howled and charged. Her eyes widened. "Bad idea!" she yelped.

Robyn threw one of his daggers with deadly accuracy, and it lodged itself into the base of the hellhounds ear. It howled, probably shattering all nearby glass. Cass muttered a spell, and spikes of iron flickered into existence, shooting toward the hound.

((i searched it and i think salt and iron are hellhound weaknesses, but idk if it's true or not))
