Fruits Basket, Vol. 1 discussion

I'm looking for a new animé but I don't want one where I find out 25 episodes in that the animé stops before the story does. I freaking Hate that!! And it happens to me a lot, with fruits basket, maid sama and most recently skip beat.
As you can see from my list I do like Shōjo but I'm open to other types as long as they are good.

I've seen Inuyasha(loved), DBZ(well most of em), Black Butler, Clannad, Maid Sama(good), Fruits Basket(the main female annoyed me so much at times), Skip Beat(funny), Kamisama Kiss(loved), and Ouran Highschool Host Club. I know I have a lot of manga to read to catch up with everything.

Do not say hetalia axis powers! I tried and I couldn't get through more than a few episodes and even that was a battle of will. And I'm not really interested in naruto or bleach. Im looking for a animé with a main character that isn't annoying, a well thought out storyline, and probably a romance, please.

There are A lot of Anime in the Marmalade series. I do not remember how many manga there are as it has been years since I have read them, and I was borrowing the copies I read from a friend, But the anime series of it seemed to go on and on that I don't even remember if I ever saw the end! There are 76 episodes on anime.place. (that is the site I use to watch anime, and its streaming. just type Anime.place no .com) there is also a manga that takes place years later after marmalade boy, with the same characters just older and a few new characters, but I forgot the name of it.

There is only about 25 episodes in this series, but Peach Girl is really adorable and it needs to be on your list ;)

Not Shojo but Ruroni Kenshin is classic. Based on the life of a real person, it follows the exploits of a reformed samurai. There are several couples in the series and the anime is a complete series. It also has an accompanying movie called Samurai X.

Also, while Fairy Tail is awesome the manga is ongoing as is the anime so whether or not the anime will last till the end of the manga or not remains to be seen.

I've heard good things about samurai x, I watched the first few episodes and I thought it was a little slow, does it pick up?

I would say yes. As is often the case, the first few episodes are for set up more than anything. However, be aware that this is meant to be a more realistic anime so will never be an over the top silly/adventure story.

It, along with Inuyasha, DBZ, and Outlaw Star were my first intro to anime way back in the day. Loved them all.

I think a good anime for you might be Shugo Chara. It's a shoujo anime mixed with fantasy and the main character's love interest is similar to Usui from Maid Sama.

My personal favourites are Death Note and Attack on Titan so you might want to check them out too :)
