Alyssa and Sam are part of the safe house team, providing security for Tess and Jimmy. Jules asks Sam to do double duty, getting him to talk to Nash about his relationship with Tess. Was this Sam’s moment to shine? Your thoughts about how he showed up in this story? What was your most favorite Sam-ism?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments I love Sam - the contrast between deadly SEAL and caring friend only enhances his appeal.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Jules knows Sam very well and that under the big, strong former SEAL there is a real caring, feeling man. Sam getting Jimmy to open up to Tess was great.

Robin (robinmy) | 2454 comments Jules knew from experience that Sam would be the perfect person to talk to Nash about his relationship with Tess. Sam can draw on his experiences with Alyssa to help Nash with his own problems.

There’s a certain pragmatism about Sam that comes from him being completely comfortable in his own skin. I believe that came from his father figure, Walt, who loved him unconditionally and without judgment.

What he did for Nash here was better than a year of paid therapy. He gave of himself and just slipped into Nash’s shoes. I loved how he used Ash (his son) to get past Nash’s defenses.

Those scenes with Ash and Nash (oh, that rhymes!) were adorable!
