The concept of baking, sharing and passing on recipes is woven throughout the book. What are a couple of your favorite family recipes? Have you shared those with your children and/or friends? How have recipes played a part in your own childhood and adult life?

We love to make homemade tortillas, tamales, refried beans, fun egg recipes that make amazing breakfasts. I don't have children, but it is fun to share with sister and her family...we share back and forth. My Mom was an amazing cook. We do keep and still have favorites of hers that have become favorites of our. Losing my father a few months ago was very hard. My heart mourns his loss, and we had a lot of fun with meals that were family favorites.
