PtP - Dreaming for book boyfriends (1)
1. Introduce yourself to your team. Let your team members know where you are from. This is a 'nice to know' when categories are announced and when team-mates can expect other members to post their book choices.2. Deep Sleeper - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)
3. Name your team. Using this round's theme, come up with a fun name. Given we are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)
Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by 29 March
4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2. (It will also help with one of the categories in this round!)
5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including links to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!
* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full in that post.
You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.
I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.
Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.
6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation, etc.
7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.
8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.
9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)
10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A/Announcement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.
The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week Option 2 has altered and I will be allocating each team another team from which their book selection must be chosen :)

Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.
If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.
IF YOU NEED TO CORRECT A POST FOR MISSING INFORMATION or because the didn't qualify etc, please REPOST this information in a NEW post. I don't want to have to keep going backwards in the thread.

Hey all, welcome to another round of PTP. I'm Diane and I live in Northeast Ohio, eastern standard time, with my husband of 36 years. I am a mother of 2 daughters and a grandmother of 2 grandsons. I am a fur mommy to a very spoiled 16 yr old female cat named Angel and a fur grandmother to a very spoiled male cat named Skyler. During the day, and while I work on my diamond paintings, I listen to audio books. At the end of the day I love to read. I read mostly MM books of all kinds, but really I will read most anything except for historical; not a big fan of having to hide your love. I don't really care for YA where they are still in high school. But there are always exceptions. First order of business, please introduce yourselves. Secondly, we have to come up with a name. I'm really horrible at this so I'm counting on y'all's input. I have listed some thoughts below. Just remember it has to be something related to "sleep".
Bedtime Bingoteers
Slumbertime Readers
ZZZ Bingo
Counting Books
Catnapping Between the Pages
Dreaming of Book Boyfriends
Snoozing While We’re Reading
Please note in msg #3 above how Jane wants the layouts of the selection & completion posts. Please make sure you follow that. Also, please do not put both your selection & completion posts in the same posting. We have to submit our name by March 29th, with the first call on March 31.
If this is your first round of PTP, please read Jane's rules very carefully, they are listed on the sign-up page. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
I will list each weeks theme in msg #4. If for some reason I am not around when the theme is called, please note it in a post & I will add it when I do get on.
Most importantly, lets all have some fun & maybe we will find more books to add to our ever growing tbr shelves!
Hi everyone. My name is Liza and I’m a stay-at-home mom of a 12 year kiddo from Massachusetts. This is my third time playing Pass the Parcel. I spend my days reading and crafting, hanging out with my dog and my birds. I read mostly MM romance, but will pretty much read anything thing you put in front of me! Thankfully my kid has inherited my love of books. As for names:
Catnapping Between the Pages
Dreaming of Book Boyfriends
Snoozing While We’re Reading
Hi, I'm Ela and this is my first time participating in this challenge. I live in the UK (GMT). I like all sub-genres of romance (when they're written well), but my favourite books tend to be paranormal and fantasy. I've listened to a few audiobooks, but they just don't seem to be for me.
I'm not very good at coming up with team names, but I like Counting Books and Dreaming of Book Boyfriends.
Hi eveyone,My name is Iliana and i am a senior in college in Pennsylvania. I hve played PTP a few times before, i think this is my 3rd or 4th time. I read a mix of MF and MM books, more MM recently because i also play challenges in a MM group. I will also read almost any genre but historical, it just does not interest me.
I really like Dreaming for book boyfriends or Catnapping between the pages.
I look forward to playing with y'all
I think we might have a winner with Dreaming for book boyfriends. Will see if UC agrees, if so then I will submit our pick to Jane.
Hi, I'm beppy.I live in northern British Columbia, and I am currently on Pacific Time. I generally don't access GR on the weekends, as I don't have internet at home. I've played most of the previous rounds of PTP. I think.
I like Dreaming of Book Boyfriends as a team name.
I read most genres (NOT horror), although this year has been heavy on M/M so far. I am trying to read other genres right now so I don't get burnt out...and so I can finish my different challenges before the end of the month. I'm not sure I'll be able to read 10 books before Apr 1, though I'm still going to try.

You'd think with the amount of characters and POVs in this story, that it'd get confusing, but I was completely hooked from the beginning, loving the time with Vito and Zindel, Wolf, and Demir, and even Tim getting his time for love. I am excited to see what comes next!

Review: I'm not a big fan of historical, though I don't really count this as historical since it's based on the legend of King Author. I also do not like YA books, but that would really only work in modern times when they are still in school. Here you kind of forget that they are just kids. The last thing I don't really like in any of my books are FTB. I want things up and center as I want to feel the connection & when it's not there I have a hard time feeling it. I want to continue on with this series, but in reviewing the other books, I don't knew if I can deal with Gen. We will see. Gary Furlong hits it out of the ballpark again!

Review:
I didn’t like or understand Ryder at all and therefore I didn’t care about the story, which was Ryder and Vivianna getting back together.
Why did Ryder and Vivianna get married in the first place? Did they get married a day after they met? There could have been some scenes to show how they met and when they decided to get married as I just didn’t understand their backstory.
Ryder cheats on Vivianna shortly after they get married, ‘because that’s what marriages are like’. He says that he feels bad about it, but nothing really shows that. For four years they don’t see each other at all as Vivianna goes to live with her brother and Ryder doesn’t even seem to notice that she’s angry at him and just continues cheating on her. When they finally see each other again Ryder doesn’t seem to care too much that he’s spent four years hurting Vivianna. He apologises and thinks about how he wants Vivianna, but he doesn’t really act like he regrets what he did, or that he wouldn’t do it again if he had the chance.
There aren’t any developed side characters, although Vivianna’s sisters are mentioned briefly.
I’ll probably continue with this series, but I really hope the other books are different.

This was such a cute story of a rockstar finding love. I instantly fell in love with Reg and felt for Jeremy every time he beat himself up. To see the change in Jeremy after spending time with Reg was amazing and so cute. It was just missing a little angst for me. It was all sunshine and rainbows from start to finish for the couple.

This book was fine, but I didn’t like how some things happened.
Lachlan and Venetia were fine, but I didn’t necessarily like them. Lachlan tries to act like he’s a villain at the beginning, but it was obviously fake. Also, the fact that Jamie is supposed to be loyal to him, but doesn’t act like he cares about Lachlan’s orders just made the act annoying.
I was also a bit confused about Lachlan pretending to be dead. His mother warns him that he can’t be walking around as people will see him and it would ruin the whole plan. Yet, he doesn’t try to hide at all, so I didn’t understand who knew about him and who he was hiding from. I thought his clan didn’t know he was alive?
The mess at the end was annoying, and I got even more annoyed with Lachlan’s decision.
This book was fine, but I didn’t enjoy it. While I would be interested in reading about Charlotte and Michael and the next book in the series sounds fun, I don’t think I’ll continue.

This story hit some pretty complex and difficult topics, but did it so well. King works at The Carnal Tower as the embodiment of Greed and he’s been in love with the receptionist, Hen, for years. Hen has some pretty heavy baggage of his own and the author tackles the topic well and with the sensitivity I love from them.

Review: This book is not ment to be read as a standalone as it's the continuation of Josh & Damian's story which was in book 1. I forgot just how broken poor Josh is. It's a major struggle for him to live with his demons. He was so very severely abused for 10 yrs by his step father and he attempted suicide several times. Damian loves him with everything he has. I don't know if Josh is every going to have a normal life. I hope that at some point in the future we may get a glimpse of them & see that Josh is doing so much better. Things in this book are even worse for our boys as the demon from Josh's past comes back and does some really horrible things.

I absolutely loved this book. From the action moments to the sweet moments I was drawn in and felt like I was a part of the characters. I loved how the author tackled the MCs growth not only from when they last saw each other to their development in the present. The side characters were hilarious and make you want so much more from them. Good thing this is a series and we can read about other members of the Mike Bravo team

Helen is on the run with her two children. She is set up with a job as a housekeeper in the wilds of Scotland. However, when she gets there, the owner knows nothing about it and doesn't want anyone around. Helen is desperate, though, and won't let one beastly man put her in danger. Even though it means learning how to be a housekeeper. Alistair slowly comes around to the idea when he sees how nicely his castle is shaping up, but then the trouble that Helen is running from pops up and Alistair realizes that they are even further apart than he realized.
I actually really enjoyed this. The characters were clearly drawn, and they never acted against type. The children were children without being smoopy about it, and Helen learning to relate to her children after always having a nanny felt honest. The relationship between Alistair and Helen grew naturally, as did the relationship between Alistair and the children. I've had hits and misses with this author, but this was most definitely a hit.

Review:
Sebastian is captain of a ship (that he stole) and does everything he can to keep his crew and his ship happy. When the original owner of the ship turns up and wants Sebastian and his crew to steal something for him, Sebastian agrees in order to gain ownership of the ship. But also because Sebastian feels guilty for how he treated Ren all those years ago. The job goes sideways, and the crew, including Ren, escape back to Ren's home planet with a plan on how to figure out if there is a traitor amongst Ren's nearest and dearest. More adventures abound, with Sebastian and Ren finally admitting their feelings for one another.
I did like how the crew was with each other, and how Ren was included within that dynamic without actually being part of the group. I remember really liking the first book in the series, although it's been a few years since I read it. This one fell a little short for me. I wasn't all that engaged with the plot, as it just seemed to bounce from interaction to interaction of Sebastian and Ren, with not a lot of story in between. It was nice, but nothing to get excited about.
