Personally, I'm not sure I would be a fan of her writing in print. But I was definitely sucked into the audio. It was great! I thought she did a great job with the story overall. There was a lot of flashbacks to the characters time as a student and then present day as a visiting professor.

***Audible - Julia Whelan***
This book took some getting used to to figure out the perspective that it was written in. I was a bit confused at the start. The main character is Bodie Kane a podcaster who returns to her alma mater in New Hampshire to teach. The story is presented as her telling what happened to a former teach that she admired. It follows the mystery surrounding the murder of her former roommate that never really set right with her. Her students dig into it as part of her class.
I think what saved this book for me is the audio read by Julia Whelan. Julia Whelan is a phenomenal narrator for books. I've chosen books in the past based solely on her being the narrator.
I don't know that I recommend this book even though I rated it 4 stars. I think I would recommend if you are a Julia Whelan fan and highly suggest her audio narration of it. I think I may have struggled with the print version because it was a bit too realism for me and really got into a lot of details.
