Not really sure it's officially a thing but does anyone know of any pirate horror novels?

There just aren't enough Pirate horror books. What's up with that?

The three that I've read, which I found to be OK, but not great:
The Ghost Pirates by William Hope Hodgson
Pirates on Dinosaur Island by Mark Edwards
Vampirates: Demons of the Ocean by Justin Somper

i was gonna say On Stranger Tides, by Tim Powers also. It's what they based the fourth pirates of the Caribbean film on, but it is a whole lot better. Also The Island, by Peter Benchley it is modern day pirates.
The novella "The Butcher's Table" in the collection Wounds: Six Stories from the Border of Hell by Nathan Ballingrud is said to be really good. I'm going to check it out myself.
The reason I created this is because I have a pirate horror series on the back-burner in my mind and I wanted to see how many pirate horror books are already out. I'm certainly not disappointed that its clearly a thing! Keep em coming!
I know this is wasn't you asked for, but for conversation's sake: The only thing I know about is pirate metal and the correlating stage performances Lol :D"Pirate metal is a style of heavy metal music characterized by its incorporation of pirate mythology within the music and sometimes in stage performances. Lyrics often use piratical jargon and various musical genres, such as thrash metal,[ speed metal, and folk metal, may be combined with traditional-sounding songs like sea shanties. Folk instruments, such as the concertina, can be incorporated or emulated with synthesizers. Band members often dress up in period costume during performances, and concert attendees may do so as well" --Wiki
If there are any authors in this group who write pirate-themed short stories, check out the anthology call for The Black Beacon Book of Pirate Tales. blackbeaconbooks.com
There's pirates in some of the short stories in Drawn Up From Deep Places by Gemma Files, but not sure they're really horror-themed.
