As you may already know, The Elite Readers are going to be reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard for March 2015!

What were your first impressions of this book, before you even read it? What did you think it would be about by the cover, title, and blurb?

I thought that just by looking at it, it was going to be a good book to read! I really like the cover of the book as well and I'm super excited about it

I agree. The cover is amazing and promises a fantastic story. Just by looking at the cover, I predicted there would be a lot of bloodshed and badassery. I hope the story is as amazing as the cover.

well from the cover, obviously a lot of blood, and from the blurb more about the differences of the two... bloodlings? blood colors? whatever. and also the blurb gave off promises of racism, so from those two, it made me feel it was a book about blood and racism

Perfect cover ofcourse! Just like our February Book. Based on the blurb I think our March book would be amazing! I still haven't started it yet but I will sooner! I'm so excited and I'm still waiting for my copy.

I just got my copy a couple days ago and I'm not going to lie this was a total cover buy book for me! I'm so excited to read this! It seems like it's going to be great from reading the blurb (:

I've had my eye on this book for awhile, so I'm really happy to have a good excuse to purchase it! First impressions? Hmmm... I know they say not to judge a book by its cover, but I think this book might be an exception. If the book is anything like the cover, I think it'll be a great read! :)

I was really excited for this book! At first I heard all the hype about it and had no idea what to expect but when I was at barnes and noble last month I picked it up, read the synopsis and bought it, literally just like that lol I knew I had to have it! I love the cover too! It's so simple and it doesn't give anything away which I like :)

THE COVER IS SO AWESOME I love it and I've also just started it as so far so great! really love the writing which is a huge relief omggg

Honestly I wasn't very interested until people kept review it's amazing and starting it, I have to agree. I'm glad I didn't pass this one by.

I'm afraid that I won't be able to read this book before the month is over.

When everyone's comparing this book to The Hunger Games, I imagine Red Riding Hood (the movie) instead, just because it started in a village. Just 3 chapters in & hoping to like this book! :)

Totally makes sense now as to why my Instagram feed was full of Red Queen posts

I absolutely love the cover and title and after reading I do see the similarities with the Hunger Games, but it is still different and I LOVED it!! I think there still is a lot more to know and discover about the characters and there true intentions that I hope Victoria doesn't disappoint wit the next one. I cant wait!!
