I have had 1Q84 on my shelf for some time now. Obviously it is a heavy read where size is concerned, but I was wondering how long it took you all to read.

I still didn’t read that! My current Murakami’s reading is “South of the border, west of the sun”, but I can tell you a friend of mine recommended me to read “1Q84”.(I’m sorry if there is any mistake)

In book 1-2 I didn't have time to read every single day. And most of the time I tried to read about 50 pages per session. But it's a really good novel, highly suggest it. Some parts may get slow as Murakami starts over-describing each situation. But even those parts are enjoyable to some degree.
I read the first one in 1.5 months. Second - ~3 weeks. Third - exactly a month. But this was back in 2014 when I read much less books (for comparison, 11 books in 2014 while this year I already read 12).
1Q84 is a very dense book. Can’t recollect how long it took me to read but Murakami has stated (not verbatim) that his desire for this book was to ‘write the most about the least possible.’ Great read but if you are new to Murakami would definitely not start there 🌎
All True and valid. 1Q84 It was what got me hookedAlmost proves your point, cause I am weird that way
