Hey guys, here we discuss the characters of Red Queen so any thoughts you have on them discuss below!

I'm only about five chapters in, so I don't particularly care about any of the characters that much yet, though I do hope we get to meet Shade, and Cal seems interesting (at least I think his name was Cal?).

Who else thinks Mare is like Katniss and she has a little sister.... Prim? Anyone? I found myself tying these characters to other book characters a lot! lol oh and I really, really hate the queen..... and Maven. He's a twerp lol

To be frank, I actually hadn't seen the connection before you mentioned it, Caitlin! XD

I've only just started reading the book, so far so good. I agree with Skylar, I hope we get to meet Shade too. And Cal, he seemed like a decent character. :) I feel so bad for Gisa though, she was only trying to help.

Well. I'm bummed, I actually liked Maven. Not so much anymore though. And ugh, the Queen....grrr.

I know right? The whole Maven thing really messed with my head lol

I'm really enjoying the story so far. I think Mare is kinda bad ass... and her sister is too. I love Cal and I really like Maven. I am also enjoying Lucas. I love that Victoria Aveyard is developing all the characters. Of course I hope Mare and Cal end up together but it's nice that Maven isn't cruel like the typical Silvers were thought to be.

yeah same!! although, I think Maven is somehow going to end up betraying her somehow, I think he might be working with the Queen in someway because I mean, he's just the type of character that seems sly and doesn't attract a lot of attention bc he's in Cals shadow a lot you know?? I'm sper excited to see how he develops!!

IKR I WAS SO SAD AND SUPER SURPRISED??? I think it could be false though, like, Bree was involved in the scarlet guard idk I don't think he's actually dead, I think they staged it somehow??

So I am really upset about the whole Maven thing. He was just so cruel and I really liked him! I was kind of spoiled because I kept seeing "betrayal" and "Maven" all over goodreads so I was expecting it, but I was still saddened by it ): I was really liking his relationship with Mare, but I wouldn't totally let myself like him because I knew something was coming.

Also I just really really liked Cal. He was so sweet and I LOVED that scene where he was teaching Mare how to dance! OMG AWE!! (:

I totally felt the same way at the beginning of the book! and Kilorn was like Gale LOL

ONE WORD: MAVEN! I loved him, seriously, and then he crushed my heart, stabbed it with a dagger and stomped on it. I loved Cal too but I was foolish enough to choose Maven, just like poor Mare did. *sobs forever while clutching book*

I think Cal is my favorite so far!...There is so much more to know about him that I cannot wait for the second book!!

I like Mare, I wish there where more people she could talk to. It might just be me, but I wanted more character development... I feel like I never got enough information about any of them. I feel like I know more about Jason (Her tutor, I think his name was Jason) than anyone else

Yeah, Rhea, I felt more connected to the tutor than the rest of the characters honestly (Julian, I think). I didn't really know which characters to love, but it was really easy to hate some of them. Evangeline, Queen Elara, for examples. I could never tell if I was going to love Maven or Cal more, and now I feel like I've been tossed around and wouldn't trust either or them. I'll stick with Kilorn and hope he doesn't let me down in the next one.
