As Leslie pulled into a parking space, she finally checked her texts.

Mom: We are having dinner at La Crème. Be home by six to get ready. Could you pick up some eggs if you are out?

With a sigh, Leslie got out of her convertible. She and Jada walked into the Women's Clothing Store, the most fashionable store around.

"Before I forget, after we are done at the bakery we have to head over to the grocery store to grab some eggs. I'm thinking I'll get a new silk robe, too," Leslie said as she flew over to the sale rack, where two silk robes hung. One was gold and the other one was silver. She grabbed both of them and handed the silver one to Jada. "Okay, now I should probably get a new pair of pajamas, too."

caitlin;
Jada walked into the shop with Leslie, eyes darting over all of the latest stock. It was all so fashionable; there was everything that you could ever need here. Jada took the silver robe from Leslie and looked it over once or twice. To be honest, she didn't really love it, but she would try it on to make Leslie happy.

When Leslie said she should get new pajamas, Jada smiled happily and nodded. Jada skipped happily over to the pajama rack. The first ones that she saw were some beautiful satin ones with small roses on and a white background. She took them off the rack and held them over to Leslie. "Here; these ones are so pretty," Jada murmured softly. She didn't really wear pajamas. She preferred to sleep in just an old pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Sometimes just her bra and knickers. She got really hot in bed.

Leslie looked at the sleepwear Jada had suggested for Leslie. They were nice, but Leslie had her eye on something different.

"I'm thinking more like this," Leslie replied as she picked a different pair. She always wore pajamas, unless it was one of those rare warm days and her summer pajamas were not cleaned. Leslie took a silk blue nightgown off the rack, which went a bit above her knees. It had a pink flower design and was simply beautiful. She then moved onto the Sale Rack, but found nothing. "It's time to go look at the fancy dresses. I'm going to La Crème tonight and I need something new." She then decided that she didn't like her gold robe as she was looking at the most expensive dresses in the store. " Actually, can I have the silver robe. It would go nice with the blue nightgown."

caitlin;
At the beautiful nightgown that Leslie took off the rack, Jada smiled softly and nodded. Leslie would look lovely in that. Jada knew that Maxwell would love it. Then again, Jada was pretty sure that Maxwell would love anything that Leslie wore, if she was going to give him something. Jada's smile widened when Leslie said they would go to look at the fancy dresses. Jada's favourite part of the shop.

"Cool; they look like they have some amazing stock at the moment," Jada observed quickly, eyes swiveling over all of the pretty dresses. When Leslie asked for the silver robe, Jada shrugged it off and handed it to her carefully. Leslie would look better in it anyway.

Leslie took the silver robe out of Jada's hands as she looked at blue sophisticated dress that would go slightly above her knees. She took it off the rack then began to look at a cute black dress. The sleeves were meant to go to her elbows and it was rather short.

"This is perfect for the carnival, don't you think?" Leslie said as she held up the black dress.

Without looking at the price tag she took it off the rack and picked out three more dresses, too.

"Are you ready to try stuff on yet?" She asked when she had a few more items in her hands.

caitlin;
Jada nodded when Leslie remarked that the black dress was perfect for the carnival. It was a bit too fancy for the carnival, in Jada's opinion, but she knew that Leslie wouldn't listen to her anyway. If she liked it, she would buy it, no matter what Jada said.

Jada grabbed a pretty, floaty lilac dress that would come down to just below her knee from the rack. It was loose-fitting, meaning it would make Jada look skinnier. Good. Then, Jada grabbed a short red dress that would come to about her mid-thigh. It was loose around the stomach but tight everywhere else. It was bright and showy, just like Jada. She threw it over her arm, planning to try it on. Finally, her searching eyes caught on a tight, white and black striped dress that would come down to about her knees. It was the opposite to the loose lilac dress. It would hug every curve, every imperfection that Jada had. It was different to most things Jada wore. She normally wore tight-ish clothes, but not like this. Jada hesitated, before picking it up. She was taking a risk, but she liked it like that.

"I'm ready!" Jada exclaimed, smiling brightly at Leslie. She knew her friend was going to look so much better than her, but there was nothing she could do about that.

"I need one more moment," Leslie said as she looked at the dresses one more time and picked out another gown. It was short and red, but very girly. The dress was made of lace, and it was actually rather cheap, well in Leslie's mind. "Look at this find, Jada! It cost barely anything." She knew that the dress was Jada's style, not her own, and that her friend would love it, but Leslie liked it too much to give it to her. Leslie would look great in it, too. Before Leslie could tell Jada she was ready to try things on, her phone rang.

"It's my brother," she said, obviously annoyed. Leslie clicked accept then stepped aside.

"What do you need, Daemon?" Leslie demanded. After a short conversation she hung up and went back to Jada. "God, he is annoying. He got his shoes all wet and needs me to pick him up some new ones. Then I asked him why, and he wouldn't tell me. So I told him that either he told me or he had to get them himself, but then he hung up on me. What a jerk!"

Truthfully, Leslie was always dramatic and hated not knowing stuff. Then an idea popped into her mind. I should go figure out where he is, she thought, but then decided against it. She had to finish shopping and get eggs. So, she decided that she'd just steal his phone while he was sleeping and see who he was texting and check his photos and his recent calls.

caitlin;
Jada nodded and waited patiently as Leslie checked out another dress. Wow. That dress was gorgeous! Jada wanted it so badly, but she knew that she should let Leslie have it because she saw it first. Instead of expressing how much she wanted that dress, she just beamed at Leslie, showing off her pearly white teeth. "You'll look lush in that, Lez," Jada assured her truthfully; Leslie could look good in basically everything.

When Leslie went off to talk to her brother, then came back annoyed, Jada listened to Leslie politely while she ranted. "Ugh, your brother is so annoying," Jada agreed with a sympathetic smile. Jada also didn't like him because he had walked in on her showering at Leslie's house, but he hadn't just apologised and left. He had just stood and stared at her like she was some kind of exotic candy that he wanted to eat. Jada had never told Leslie about this, though, and didn't think she knew.

Jada walked into a changing room, assuming Leslie was ready to start getting changed now. She began to get undressed, stripping down to her lacy black bra and knickers. She stood like that for a moment, deciding which one she should put on. "Which one should I try first?" Jada called from the changing room to Leslie.

"The red one," Leslie said, without giving it a thought. She had already trotted into the largest changing room, leaving Jada with a smaller one. After setting down her purse and setting her clothing on a hook that was drilled into the door, she began to slip on her nightgown. She gave Jada some time to put on her dress before asking if she was ready to come out and ask her for her advice. "You ready?" She asked after a minute.

Leslie unlocked her door and came strutting out, looking like a model. With a smirk she twirled around. She had her night outfit on and it looked perfect. "What do you think, Jada?"

caitlin;
Jada slipped herself into the red dress, before checking herself out in the mirror. It was slightly looser around the stomach, making her look even slimmer, then it hugged her hips, showing off her attractive curves. She fluffed her hair up, then strutted out of the changing room to see Leslie.

Her friend looked lovely in that nightgown, like a beautiful princess. Jada couldn't avoid the slight bubble of jealousy that erupted inside her, but she quenched in immediately. "It looks really cute," Jada assured her truthfully. Jada struck a model pose and pouted professionally before laughing, since she was just messing on. "What about me?" Jada asked with a sweet smile. The dress looked good on her, in her opinion, but Leslie would probably have something to criticise. She normally did, anyway.

"The dress looks okay, but you have to be careful with the accessories and make-up. The dress is very bright, so you have to wear neutral make-up and either white or black accessories. Also, it's a bit tight, but I guess that's okay," Leslie said, not liking the fact that it made Jada look beautiful. But she knew all the attention would be on her anyway. She was gorgeous and she didn't mind showing that off. "Okay, I'm going to try on that black dress. I'll be right back!"

She then turned around and prepared to change into her next outfit. She had picked up a pair of adorable pink flats, and a matching pink headband. After putting her outfit together she unlocked the door again and waited for Jada to come out.

As she waited she looked at herself in the large mirror and adjusted the headband a bit. She wore her very short dress, practically see through black stockings, and her pink accessories.

caitlin;
Jada thought that she sensed a slight tone of jealousy in Leslie's voice when she gave her advice, but realised she must be imagining it. Leslie could never be jealous of her, right? Jada gave Leslie a bright smile when she went back into her changing room, then went back into her own.

She got into the floaty lilac dress after pulling the red one off. She liked it, but she wasn't sure if she was going to get it or not. She would decide later. The light dress hung off Jada prettily, making her look more youthful. Jada smiled slightly; she looked cute. She stepped out of the changing room and grabbed a pair of glittery silver flats, which she pulled on to go with the dress. She waited for Leslie to come out, no doubt looking amazing.

"No, no, no," Leslie said when Jada stepped out of her dressing room. "It doesn't make you look attractive or cute. It hits you in the wrong place. Truthfully it looks like something my grandmother would wear to brunch at her golf club."

She didn't like the dress, not one bit. Although she could tell Jada enjoyed it, she thought the color was too outgoing, and that it would make people look at her, while they should be looking at her.

"Try on your carnival outfit next. This is mine. What do you think?" She asked after she looked Jada over once more.

Even if Jada didn't like it, she did, and that was all that mattered. It was pretty and cute. If it were longer it would have been a bit too dressy, but since it was short she could get away with wearing it to the carnival.

message 15: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin;
Jada frowned when Leslie judged her in her dress, feeling quite upset. She thought she looked lovely in the dress; it made her look younger and sweeter. In her opinion, the dress was beautiful and Jada laughed when Leslie added that it was something that her Grandma would wear to brunch. That was just hilarious.

"Well then, your Grandma is a very classy lady," Jada remarked jokingly, acting like Leslie's words didn't hurt or upset her. After all, she would just say that she was being honest. Maybe she did look awful in the dress. After all, what reason would Leslie have to lie to her?

When Leslie asked what Jada thought of her dress, Jada scanned Leslie carefully, trying to find something she could say other than 'You look really cute!' like she normally did. Leslie looked beautiful, but the dress was a tiny bit too short. She would definitely be getting a lot of wandering eyes, that was all Jada was meaning. She decided not to say this, in case Leslie got offended.

"You look sexy," Jada smirked, laughing slightly. "Bet you that Maxwell will be physically drooling over you," Jada teased softly. Yeah, he would do drooling over her when they snogged each others face off. Ew.

Jada turned and walked back into the changing room, pulling the lilac dress over her head. She decided she wouldn't buy it, just to make sure Leslie didn't think that Jada didn't think her fashion advice was good. Jada got into the tight, black and white striped dress and checked herself out in the mirror. Wow. The dress was incredibly tight, yet almost slimming. It hugged her curves and made her look taller, thank the Lord, considering she was tiny. She slid on a pair of black stilettos, glad she had practised walking in them. She had never felt like this in a dress. She had never felt like she would stand out in a dress before. She walked out the changing room and posed for Leslie, pouting like a model before chuckling.

"What do you think?" Jada asked nervously, almost scared of what Leslie would say to her.

Before Leslie could give an honest answer, her phone buzzed from inside her large dressing room.

"One second. Let me get that," she said as she walked into the room. It was rather wide and the walls went from the floor to the ceiling. The walls were painted off-white and there was a beautiful painting on the left wall, while a mirror was on the right wall. Her purse sat on the long bench that went wall to wall and she fished it out of her purse.

Mom: Hey honey! Did you get those eggs yet? Remember to be home soon.

"Hey, Jada, could we just buy this clothing then try them on back at my place tomorrow? If we don't like them we can return them. I just forgot about my family dinner and I have to get eggs on top of that," she said
when she walked out of her dressing room.

Then she picked up her clothing off the hook and snatched her purse. After changing back into her outfit she came in wearing, she went out to purchase her clothing, waiting for Jada to do the same.

caitlin;
Jada waited patiently when Leslie went in to read her text. Jada leant against the wall of the changing room, checking out the sales boy subtly. Brown hair, big blue eyes, with smooth tanned skin. Not too bad; not too bad at all. Still, she wasn't here to flirt. She was here to buy clothes with her best friend.

When Leslie walked out the changing room and said what she did, Jada nodded, following Leslie to the checkout, still wearing her dress. She took the tag off the dress and handed it to the sales checkout person when Leslie had finished paying, just leaving the other dresses in the changing room. The sales boy made sure not to check Jada out as he racked up the dress. When he had finished, Jada smiled gratefully and handed over the money, leaning over the counter to place a light, grateful kiss on the boy's cheek, making him blush very slightly. She turned and smiled at Leslie, waiting for Leslie to say they could leave.

"Jada, it isn't time to get a boyfriend, it is time to leave," Leslie said after the salesman handed her two bags, filled with her clothing. She handed the bags to Jada, indicating that she was meant to hold them for her. Before they left, she turned to speak to the salesman in a joking tone. "Here's her digits if it makes you sleep better tonight."

She then wrote them down on a piece of paper, knowing that Jada would have never had the guts to do that. As they walked outside she whispered something in Jada's ear.

"Your welcome," she said and then got into her car. Soon they were speeding down a back road, which was a secret shortcut she and Jada had discovered when they got lost two summers ago, when Leslie didn't even have her license. They stopped at the grocery store and picked up the eggs her mother had requested. Before she knew it, she was watching Jada walk to her front door.

"See you later, Jada," she yelled cheerfully before zooming out of their driveway and onto the road.

caitlin;
Jada chuckled softly, blushing a tiny bit, when Leslie told her that it wasn't time to get a boyfriend. When Leslie joked that she was going to give the saleman her number, Jada laughed, but her face turned panicked when Leslie actually gave over her number. She didn't want to give him the number! She was perfectly capable of handing her number to someone that she wanted to have it. She couldn't really do anything about it now. She left the shop with Leslie, feeling annoyed at her friend.

When Leslie had the cheek to say Jada was welcome, Jada glared at her and crossed her arms. "I was just teasing him, Leslie!" Jada hissed, sounding angry. "I would've given him my number if I wanted to; you didn't have to shove your nose in!"

Jada left Leslie, feeling pissed that she would know have to deal with some poor guy who would clearly have the wrong idea, thanks to Leslie.

Even though Leslie seemed to be happy with Jada, she was happy she was leaving. God, what a brat. She was trying to help her out, but all she could do was be ungrateful. Well, she knew how to get her back. At the carnival, Jada would see what a good couple Maxwell and her were. She would be all alone, sitting in a corner with a bucket of popcorn, getting herself even fatter. Leslie didn't even feel bad. She truthfully felt like slapping Jada, but that would have to wait for a horrible event.
