2) but watched the TV series and absolutely *despised* him in the TV series?

Kinda get his appeal, though not completely buy it, would take him over Mal any day, would trade him over Nikolai any day also.
Love him, was kind of conflicted about it at first but love him so much. Just not with Alina. His book self is amazing and it doesn't help that I adore Ben Barnes.
