Doesn't work

Only 27 on this list. I need to get reading.

28 for me - Harry Potter helped a lot on this one!

I love this list because The BFG is only two spots behind Anna Karenina. Obviously.

I love the bfg.

Well all of the other lists made me feel pretty pathetic, but I've read 43 of these, so I'm feeling much better about myself.

I've read 25 and many more are on my TBR list.

I was thrilled to see The Pillars of the Earth on this list!!! I am a HUGE Follett fan.

Here it is in checklist form. If you're like me and like them that way.

I have read 34 books off the list. But there are several on my TBR list.

I had 28 from this list.

The checklist form is not quite the same. I've read 34 from the checklist.

The checklist is from a fake thing from FaceBook (I think).

Someone took a list of favourite books or 'book you couldn't live without' from a survey carried out in the UK to promote World Book Night and added the BBC bit.

The site does have a lot of book lists though including the real BBC list. Looks like a good site.

I've read 52 but I have been trying to work my way through the top 200 books. Although, I don't think I'll be reading all the children's books.

I've read 31 from this list and have quite a few on my TBR.

54 for me, but I was a Brit Lit major.

It's certainly a bizarre combination of books .. :) .. interesting though (except for the multiple Pratchett ones as I simply can't read him .. other than his serious work like the recent sci-fi ones)

(yes, I know it's satire, but just the complete opposite of what I find funny or thrilling)

Agreed. I read The Color of Magic and I don't think I got it like I was supposed to... Maybe it gets better but the first book didn't leave me wanting.more.

I've been wanting to try Prachett - your commentary does not sound promising!

I’ve got 66 on the list... definitely need to try Pratchett!

I've read 37 and I have 11 in my "to read" bookcase.

Thirty-five for me, plus several that I tried very hard to read and couldn't make it through.

There are actually two lists here. On Heather Codename: Dutchess's list, I've read 44.

37 for me.

I see a different list under Pigletto - on which I have read 41.

39 for me. This list is slightly more credible than some of the others.

I have been working on this one for quite a while. I have read 80 books on this list.

If I counted correctly, it looks like I only added one new one - now 49 - in the past year.

Only added two this year. I'm up to 82.

I like this list! I think it's more doable than some of the other lists. I've done at least 30 and have many of them on my list. I'm gonna see what I can accomplish in 2021! I only counted the book if I read it any time in the last 5ish years since I know several of these I read when I was younger, but I don't really remember them.

Wow, such high numbers all around for this one I brought my total up to 66.

Now 55.
