Kristin | 67 comments This is perhaps a bit late, but could still make for interesting discussion as we await the nomination results.

Anyone read any notable nominees (any category) for 2015?

G (gawm) | 12 comments I'm nominating two novels I read - Jo Walton's My Real Children and M. R. Carey's The Girl with All the Gifts.

I'm still working my way through some shorter fiction before the nominations close tonight.

Kristin | 67 comments As usual, I am behind on what came out the previous year so I tend not to nominate. I am, however, always interested in what might be on the final ballot. I do make a point to read the nominees, providing the library has the book.

Kristin | 67 comments The Hugo Nominees were announced this weekend. I was going to post the list here, but it might be easier to just use the link (or just Google 2015 Hugo Awards):

http://www.thehugoawards.org/hugo-his...

Here are the novels only:
Best Novel (1827 nominating ballots, 587 entries, range 256-387)

Ancillary Sword, Ann Leckie
The Dark Between the Stars, Kevin J. Anderson
The Goblin Emperor, Katherine Addison
Lines of Departure, Marko Kloos
Skin Game, Jim Butcher

Ironically, by book group is reading Ancillary Sword for April's meeting. I'll pop back and start a review of nominees read later in the month.

Happy reading!
