Historical Fictionistas discussion

I love the novels of Hannah Kent. She is especially talented at bringing to life the places in her novels: Iceland (Burial Rites), Ireland (The Good People), Germany and Australia (Devotion). One of the few novelists whose books I will read no matter what the subject. I didn't think I would be interested in a lesbian love story set among 19th century German immigrants to Australia, but because Kent wrote it, I bought it and it was great! Can't wait to see what she does next.

I have yet to read any of her other books, but I adored Burial Rites!

Have read both Burial Rites and The Good People. Burial Rites is an all-time favorite.
