Hi everyone!Welcome to TTX. Get ready to build those towers high enough to brush the clouds, chat about silly and important things, and add way too many books to you TBR shelves.
I am Jenny, I was introduced to TT with the Harry Potter winning team Remus Lupin, and then the next year was on the winning Lust team. So, I am totally ready to win again!!!!! Too much?
I am a picture framer from Phoenix, where summer is starting to hit hard. Ah, the desert. I live with my two fabulous kitties, way too many bookcases, and a great art collection.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of team Deset, and having a great time.
Yay! Our thread is open. I have sent out friend requests to fellow teammates that I am not friends with already, and I expect Angie and Karolyn will be doing to same.
We will have a tracking spreadsheet up later today so you all can start listing books if you wish. Once it is up, it will be linked in message 4.

Hi everyone! I’m Karolyn from Missouri, USA and am excited to be co-captioning with Jenny and Angie and playing with all of you. I read a lot of non-fiction, historical fiction, and mysteries/thrillers. But will do about anything for Tower Teams 😄I love to travel and hike and got into podcasts during the pandemic. Three spoiled kitties help me read. I can be a little crazy as well and love a good spreadsheet.

I started playing with Harry Potter in 2018 and have loved Tower Teams ever since. You can’t beat what originally hooks you into reading challenges.
I am a pretty diverse reader but right now I am in the midst of a long-distance doctoral program so there is a lot of random non-fiction that you will see pop up. The heavy part of my work is in late June and early July so you may see me get quiet for a few weeks while I am in doctoral residency. Don’t worry- I will still be reading just not as quickly!
I live with my husband (the aforementioned farmer), our two kids, a large dog, and two crazy cats.
I have never been on a winning team- although I have been close so excited to play and WIN! 😀

Hi Team Deset! My name is Angela and I am from a town near Chicago, IL. This is my first time doing this challenge and I came over from the UNO challenge that is almost finished. Excited to jump into a new team challenge. I also participate in the Seasonal Reading Challenge. I love to read mysteries, romance, historical-fiction, non-fiction and literary fiction. I don't really read fantasy or sci-fiction, although I have enjoyed a few in my time. I am a planner by nature, love to try different recipes, watch booktube for book recommendations I don't really need (tbr is out of hand lol) and spend time with my cat, Chloe.

One of my new favorites is lemon butter linguine with sauteed scrimp

I attended a concert at the Royal Albert Hall where they had cannons and fireworks going off on the topmost level at the specific times during the performance and it was amazing!!!

I wouldn't say nobody has heard of them, it is more that few people know about them. There are some amazing festivals around specific food items that happen to celebrate the new crops. My favourites are a festival for groundnuts, one for mangoes and one for a type of a broad bean. One gets to buy the fresh crops as well as various dishes made of the crop being celebrated.

CHOCOLATE. Seriously, I love all chocolate. Milk, Dark, White, Ruby... it doesn't matter as long as it is chocolate.

Sadly, I have never had pets. Mainly because my dad was in a transferrable job that had us traversing the nation as well as travelling to places outside. Plus my mum has never been very comfortable with the idea of having a pet. But I always dreamed of having 3 basset hounds whom I would name Washington, Wellington and Worthington. Don't ask me why...I have absolutely no clue where those names came from. ☺️

Both, depending on where I am going and when.

I did a solo trip to China a few years back that had me ticking off many of the items on my bucket list. It was awesome and the highlights of my trip were visiting the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), the Great Wall of China, and seeing the Terracotta Army in person.

I am a complete foodie so there are too many to list here. I cook a lot and love to try out new recipes all the time.

My very first concert was by Michael Learns to Rock which I was taken to by cousins. I enjoyed it but realized I am not cut out for concerts. I cannot deal with large crowds and lots of noise.

For some unknown reason, I have only ever watched the original Star Trek. I know of the other series but had never watched them. That is being corrected now as I am working my way through all the series. I completed watching the original series again and am at present almost at the end of the animated series.
